The body of the mug is sturdy and heavy but the lid was not well manufactured as the edges of the lid was not smooth.  This was possible due to it being banged up in transit.  Too bad...

Sturdy but....

This mug keeps drinks hot or cold for a long time.  It's dishwasher safe and comes out perfectly clean.  I took off one star because the lid is very firm to open and close.  You need to hold the mug firmly with one hand and manipulate the lid with the other.  For people who don't have a lot of strength it is rather difficult.  The flip lid does snap into place when open, but that also requires firm pressure and two hands - one to hold the mug.  You don't have to lock the lid open, but if not you have to hold the lid with a finger while you drink or it will flop down onto your nose and the part that covers the drink opening may be wet.
