I opened the package right away and immediately detected a burnt wood smell on the platform. I left it in the garage for several weeks but the odor remains. I contacted the Extreme Products Group through their website contact form. I asked if the platform could be replaced and checked first.They were very disrespectful. After sending all receipts and photos they finally agreed to send another platform directly from the factory in China.  If and when it arrives I won't know if it has the same odor.

My husband and I started having bad back pain when we got our new mattress a couple years ago, and our backs seems to be getting worse and worse. 

First night after using this I finally was able to sleep! Very little back pain, I could sleep in positions that I was not able to the night before, and I didn't have to move pillows all around my body to support me every time I changed positions. My husband said his back feels a lot better too! We got this yesterday and I assembled it last night (took me about an hour). We each did 2 sessions on the inversion table, a few minutes each before going to bed. At first I wasn't sure if it was going to work for me. My back hurt pretty bad trying out the 40 degree angle. But I went up and down a few times to loosen up my stiff back and then it started to feel better. Then after a couple minutes at 40, I went to the 60 degree level and that was fine. Weird to have my body in that direction at first, but I got used to it pretty quickly. I recommend this to all people, even if you don't think you have back problems, you might have a subtle issue without realizing what is truly causing it. We are pounded by gravity all day every day. This has been so amazing so far!

The only con in my opinion is just that it kinda hurts the ankles, the higher the angle, the more strain on the ankles. This inversion table has very nice padded rolls, and that was one of the reason I purchased this one over other ones that appeared to only have a set of rolls on one side, but not the other. I'm glad I got this inversion table which has the rolls on both sides. Either way, it is no big deal because a couple minutes of ankle pain to get hours of pain-free back is worth it! And it is not this inversion table in particular that causes the ankle pain, it is just the act of inverting period, I think it's just unavoidable in this position when you're holding yourself up by your ankles. I think I will figure out a way to put some extra padding around my feet/ankles to help with that.

Highly recommended. It is affordable and does the job greatly!

I am so happy today after having an almost pain free night and I think it will get better the more sessions I do. I woke up smiling, ready to jump on the inversion table again. So I did another session when I got up. When I got off the inversion table, as I was walking away, I actually felt taller. I think the pain caused me to constantly be compensating and having bad posture. I don't have perfect posture overnight, but I think this is greatly going to help me. I also feel a loosening and some crackles in my neck when I am at 60 degrees, so I think it will help with that too. I have a slight dowager's hump and I think this could help a bit with that as well, lengthening my neck a bit.

The inversion table lengthens the space between vertebrae. That is the only explanation for such a drastic difference in pain so quickly. The nerves aren't being pinched so much now. I'm going to keep at it!

It Decompresses Your Spine

The table advertises having a 250lb capacity but can only adjust and function up to 195lbs. I'm 6'4 220lbs and this table simply won't work for me.

Misleading weight capacity.

Item appears well made. Easy to assemble with good instructions. My only negative is Amazon sent me a message 2 days after receiving the table a price that was $30 below Walmarts. Now I'm concerned or angry or both?
