I'm the only coffee drinker in this family, so I did not need a 10 cup or 14 cup coffee maker.  all I want is 2, maybe 3 cups of great coffee every morning and maybe a cup in the afternoon. this 5 cup Bonavita coffee maker is the perfect choice.
it's easy, fast, and best of all, the coffee is really great.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] If you don't drink all your coffee right away, you may be disappointed with the thermos holder. You may end up drinking loop coffee as a result, because the brewer will not keep the coffee warm.

Great coffee brewer

coffee does not get hot enough. can't pour out into cup directly, you must remove the grounds carrier first, then attach the thermos lid. If you don't attach the lid, the thermos dribbles when pouring. Too many steps, base does not heat up. Way over priced. I could have paid alot less for a cusinart 4 cup, and had better results. I have to put my cup in micro to heat the coffee.

overpriced, not convenient

It's a nice coffee maker I just don't like that u have to be switching the lids on the cup I ended up gifting it to my mom.

It's really annoying to use. Terribly thought out. The coffee holding segment sits up on the carafe. Once the coffee is done brewing you have to find a place? Bowl? Napkin? To move the drippy coffee holder segment. Then you have to attach the screw on pour spout lid that hangs out loose wherever until you use it. Once you dispatch the coffee holding section and screw on the pour spout you can finally pour out *most* of the coffee. I say most because the carafe is designed like those anti spill dog bowls. Even when flipped completely upside down a half table spoon of coffee is never really able to escape so as far as cleaning I guess I need to shove a rag in there to mop up the left over coffee? The temperature was great, good coffee, but for all the effort put into correct temp there was 0 thought in the actual using of this thing. The bits and pieces and parts loose everywhere. I didn't even consider that this is not a contained until when I bought it. I was a fool to assume every coffee machine this century is self contained. If you're a coffee snob, its not nice enough to be for you. If you want convenience, it's not for you. I am struggling to find the target audience here
