I was surprised by how well these self-adhesive body patches worked. I used them to repair a small rust spot on my truck's fender, and they stuck without needing to bother with additional adhesive or tape. The mesh is metallic, and while it is sturdy, it is still easy to cut and shape for any contour you need. I applied body filler, and after sanding it, the repair was very well blended. For the price, you really can't beat the quality. The two patches it comes with are more than enough for a few small projects. I'll definitely have these handy for any bodywork I need to touch up.

Used this in conjunction with some larger mesh while doing a rocker panel repair.  It cuts easy.
Wished there was more product in the package so I just bought two.  The adhesive sticks well enough unless you have a really dusty surface.  Drilled through some areas for fastener holes and it held up well.

Product stuck onto the panel I was repairing very well allowing me to put the fibreglass bondo  onto it.

The metal patches are fantastic. They glue easily to the vehicle's sheet metal and are easily shaped to follow the body lines of the body panels they are replacing. It gives you a much more solid base for the body filler.

Metal patches are far superior to fiberglass cloth

I am an elderly woman who needed to repair a rust patch on my old reliable car. I had never repaired anything on my car prior to this attempt. The products I purchased were surprisingly easy to use and my car looks much better. Thanks Walmart!

Very economical and works great.

This is pretty neat for fixing rust holes that are too big to just bondo over but the adhesive doesn't stick well to the car.  Maybe prep it with super glue or something.  I just stuffed a bunch of pieces into the hole and then used JB Weld putty for the hole.

The adhesive could be better. I had some issues with the patch staying in place when applying the bondo but overall it worked okay.

Bought three packages of Bondo self-adhesive Body Patch this morning (April 17, 2025, and wish I had read the reviews first. I suppose it is self-adhesive in that if you fold it onto itself you can't get it apart, but it won't adhere to metal AT ALL even when prepared according to the instructions.
