Ease Of Assembly

One concern however - the paint was rubbed off various areas of the chair due to improper packaging for shipping.

The chairs are sturdy. Assembly was easy.

The instructions left off where some screws should go, so it took longer than it should to put them together.a Also, it would have been better if there was an option to pick for color.

Set-up

We purchased two sets of chairs as part of a kitchen set for our new home using Site-to-Store. They arrived in a timely fashion and weren't too difficult to assemble. They seem to be holding up with daily use. The wood tone is more natural looking and less "orangey" than the table & bench we ordered, but are not as high-end looking as the bench and table. Hoping they last as after I purchased them I read other summaries that did not give them good ratings.

Chairs

The wooden seat and the cross piece to attach the legs to are already together. Everything else is assembled by you. You have to glue the spindles into the back and seat (make sure you have glue because the stuff they sent was solid!) and then use a mallet to make sure they are all together and set. NOT super easy! Very helpful to have another person help you out by holding it steady while you knock it together.
Once they are together, they are very nice chairs. Very sturdy so far. Go very nicely with the tile top table I purchased as well.

For $40 a piece I didn't expect to build the chair

I got what I paid for. They are a nice looking chair, but will have to take it easy on them or they will fall apart. As far as putting together, WOW. I am pretty good at this kind of stuff and it took 2 of us and almost 3 hrs. to put them together. The way the backs go together then trying to attach them to the chair seating just is bull, unless you glue the stuff together so it doesn't fall apart. I would commend this chair if you were like me and just needed some chairs to complete a table setting but rarely will use.

I got what I paid for.

We have had the table and 4 chairs for the past year, but the legs all started becoming really loose. I had to use my gorilla glue and tighted all of the screws (I think that worked pretty good), but I don't think this should have to be necessary. My parents have had their kitchen chairs for 30 years and still yet to have a loose leg. Things are made so cheap these days. So dissapointed. The black paint is cheap too and some of it came off the bottom legs of the table onto the floor when I moved my table over to mop. The appearance looks fine, just poorly made.

Chairs falling apart after 9 months

Difficult to assemble because the parts are poorly made and do not fit properly.
Once assembled, it looks good but is umcomfortable to sit in

If you need these for the short-term, then they're the ones for you. I bought these after buying my new house to have something a little more stylish, but they did not even last 3 months. Very poor workmanship. You have to assemble which was not a problem. You get what you pay for..... Now it's just a pile of firewood....

Dont waste time and money

These are NOT assembled, as described-the quality is very poor, not at all what I expected. They were returned same day.
For only a fewe dollars more, we purchased four high quality ASSEMBLED chairs at a local dinette store that are perfect.
