This drills through studs like butter but there is no stopping it if you only need a shallow hole. 
The screw tip refuses to listen to 'that's deep enough' and just carries on until there is no more timber ahead of it to screw into.

Great set of bits bore through rim joist in nothing flat. A neighbor borrowed them to put up a rope railing around his deck through 4X4 and he was impressed.

Works fast

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These bits are very fast drilling through wood, they grab and self feed quickly. These bits really throw wood chips so make sure your tool bag isn't under your work area.. lol I started buying these bits years ago and won't buy anything else.

Fastest drilling ever!!

I have had this set for about a year now and they are by far the best spade bits I have used. Easily drills through framing or joists to feed wire. The hex bit is great when using it in my PS41 Driver.
These are my go to bit even over my Bosch hole saw set.

Excellent Bite

These bits just run right through wood like nothing. The bits really do there job very quickly. For rough holes they work great, so much better than a regular paddle bit. For clean holes they can be be used you just need to use a little more control.

Making holes FAST!!!

I have the entire set, plus a few extra stashed away amongst a few boxes. They are self driven. Once they start, they will burrow their way through any wood. Don't use them like you would a regular spade bit for some applications for finer wood working and remodeling, they're too aggressive.

I use these bits every day. They are great. I really like having the pouch to keep them in. It keeps them organized and it will show you, you if you are missing one. I really like having the 1/4 in hex shank on it so you can put it in your impact driver. They hold a super nice sharp edge. Bosch did give me these bits to review, but I did go out and buy more afterwards.

Bosch daredevil spade bits

This spade bits are awesome, because you expect to make a hole and the hole is already done, that's how fast it is. Bosch have the best spade bits and you can get it for a good price. Thanks Bosch.

Looking for an extremely fast hole.

Bought this set at home Depot for 15, great value and good quality for your dollar. I used  one the other day cut a cle a n hole and and fast. No tear out.

Great bits

I was loving the bit for the first 14 holes. On 15 it fell apart.
Decent value for a set of bits but doesn't mean its ok for them to shear off where the spade meets the shaft.
