I have owned this hammer drill for years. Over that time I have drilled several hundred holes up to 1/2" in diameter for anchor bolts to 5/32" holes to use Tapcon screws. It has NEVER failed me and ALWAYS got the job done. Like one reviewer wrote the bit can come loose in the chuck. No big deal and I chalk it up to not having it tight enough.

I bought this hammer drill a month ago and have used it for several projects. The first one to drill 2 1/2" deep x 3/8" diameter concrete anchor holes for a storm shelter ceiling/ front porch concrete base. I dreaded doing this project but this hammer drill made the project a breeze and fun to do. Ergonomically it fits my hands perfectly. I was very impresed at the speed and ease of use. One thing I would prefer is a steel depth gauge instead of plastic.

All the power you need

The drill works good for what I do every day I mostly use it for drilling holes for my tap cons. The only thing I don't like so far is the chuck key is made out of to soft of metal I have broken about half my teeth on mine

Works preaty well

I've had this drill a couple of years and have used it for drilling metal and 3/8 and smaller holes in concrete. The drill has worked great until this week when I needed to drill some 1/2 inch holes in concrete. I got 6 holes drill and the switch burnt up. I ordered a new switch and installed
The drill started right up. I got 2 and 1/2  more holes when the new switch burnt up. The switch will not hold up to much of a loaded for very long.

Not great

I've owned this drill for several years. Until recently it was only used for small quick jobs. Such as hammer drilling a 1/4” hole in mortar to use a plastic anchor. Last week I finally had the opportunity to “show off” my Bosch hammer drill. What a disappointment! I needed to drill a series of 3/4” holes. After about a dozen holes the drill stopped functioning. A buddy I was working with pulled out his Harbor Freight hammer drill (that I had made fun of) and finished the job without incident. Needless to say I was on the receiving end of quite a bit of smack talk that a cheap well used Harbor Freight hammer drill outperformed my like new expensive Bosch. Hard to believe how poorly this drill is made.

Cheap Harbor Freight beats Expensive Bosch Drill

I bought this about a year ago and it was used only once, until today when I tried to stir some sheetrock mud. The bucket was only half full and the drill began smoking almost immediately. Whithin seconds it died. I disassembled the drill to find the brush housing melted. I paid more for this drill so I wouldn't    need to go through this. Bosch tools have always done right by me  until now.

I was able to drill 3 holes in concrete with the first one before it quit. 1/2" bit on LOW speed. The second one quit in the middle of the second hole, 1/2" bit on LOW speed. I'm an Electrical Engineer, so I took it apart and found the spring contact in the trigger switch melted open circuit. I will NEVER purchase a Bosch tool again. At one time they may have been good quality but those days are over. This is a 100% straight up review.

VERY DISAPPOINTED= LOTS OF PRTROBLEMS.
Definetly going to buy Mafell and Makita tools.

Bosch tools are not what they used to be .

Quality of parts not made for everyday use. Ideal for showcase because they look good!
Even with light use, it overheats 
Brush holders made of plastic melted, no replacement parts and no warranty  
This is my third Bosch impact drill ( and my last) so i have seen first hand the quality drop in each new products

Not what Bosh tools used to be!

Bought this drill a few years back for light duty work and didn't use it much. Was looking to drill 8 1/4 inch holes in concrete 3 inch concrete. Very small and easy task for this drill as I didn't want to use my larger Makita rotary hammer. Or so I thought. On the hammer drill setting using the higher speed the drill lasted 3 holes and stopped working in the forward setting. This was while using a brand new Milwaukee bit. The drill only worked in reverse. Checked the brushes and appeared to have melted some of the plastic house. Didn't find any evidence of electrical shortages, just didn't function anymore after 3 holes. Bosch usually makes decent tools but this is definitely not one of them. Very disappointed in the quality which is way all my rotary hammers tend to be Makita. The other reviews are right, if you want to drill concrete, get a Makita. They are leaps and bounds better when it comes to quality and eat concrete. This drill is probable good for drilling soft woods (pine, etc) but any weak drill can do that for far less. Stay away if you value quality and your money.
