Very smooth, excellent speed control, very little vibration. My first attempt with homemade circle cutting jig resulted in derailing the blade from the rear support roller. I hadn’t aligned the pivot sufficiently with the blade edge. Adjusted and success on next try, 16 3”radius holes in 3/4” AC plywood for my Paulk work table. Found the JS260 very handy for trimming up my connections between the Skilsaw plunge cuts and the radiused cuts too. I would have appreciated an LED  at the blade line but am very happy with the JS260.

More than met my high expectations

I purchased this tool after burning out 3 competitors jigsaws in as many years. After using it almost daily for more than 20 years as a flooring contractor, I can say it is worth every penny I paid and more.
The tool-less blade change is has worked flawlessly.
This saw works as well today as it did when I bought it, which is impressive since I've dropped it onto concrete from off my table saw
dozens of times.
It doesn't look pretty anymore, but there is no need to replace it.
When it does die, another Bosch will replace it

Excellent saw , and easy to use tool-less blade change feature

I worked as a plumber for many years and always could rely on Bosch for heavy duty applications. When I first viewed this product I was a little skeptical concerning the price. When I used this product to cut out a home made full size handicap stencil for the parking lot I maintain I was truly satisfied with the results. I cut through 1/2" plywood with many turns with no problem what so ever. The motor was very powerful and once again I was thoroughly pleased with Bosch. This jigsaw not only met my budget but performed beautifully. Thanks Bosch.

Nice jig saw.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this specifically to use Bosch soft materials blades to cut foam board insulation. Could not find other brands with a soft material blade. Makes cutting the foam board insulation clean. No mess

Great price. Great jig saw.

I bought this not even a week ago and when I tried it out I was TOTALLY amazed at how fast it cut through wood. I have to admit, I had a 40 year old Black & Decker which took forever but I can’t even compare the two. The B&D is complete junk compared to this jigsaw. Oh, and there was hardly any vibration and the weight kept it steady as I cut. 
So far...great jigsaw!!!
I would definitely recommend it to anyone!

Fast and Steady!

I bought this to replace an very old and lower quality jigsaw. It is not a tool that I use often so I did not go for top of Delete repeated wordline but I was ready for a better tool than my previous entry level brand.

I've used this saw a handful of times while modifying a closet shelf unit. The saw is plenty powerful, provides excellent control and it is smooth as silk. I own several other Bosch tools and I really like the quality and feel of these tools. I recommend this for anyone that is progressing beyond basic DIY skills and up to professional tool users.

Excellent Saw, Plenty of Power and Easy to control

Bought this product because my old jigsaw blade securing screw was stripped and it would not keep the blade stable. Really like the blade changing and securing and the overall balance of the tool when in use. Blade guide gives the tool a solid feel when cutting thick material. Tool has ample power and I am really pleased with the quality for the price.

I bought this a few weeks ago, as a combo with a 18pc blade set.  So far, has worked exactly as intended, cuts clean and accurate.  It feels solid and well made, time will tell how durable it actually is.  The only reason I gave it 4 stars, is the lack of a vacuum port, and the allen key bevel lock.  Neither one is a huge deal.  The blower does a good job clearing the cut line, so unless you're working somewhere super clean, the dust port isn't critical.  As for the bevel, 99% of the cuts I will make will be 90 degrees, so trading convenience for a simple, solid bevel lock is fine by me (It does have notches to make it easy to set to 90/45)  All in all, a solid saw, and a competitive price.  For what I paid, and with the blade set, it was too good of a deal to pass up

only 3 stars for a couple minor complaints. i have medium/large fingers and the blade release is not easy to use. also its a little odd to have the speed control on th bottom of the trigger. wouldve made more sense to have it on the top of the handle. otherwise seems solid and well-built

minor complaints

Received the Bosch Js260 as a Christmas gift and although it's a solid built tool the LIFTING ROD 2600780173 failed after the first cut.
It would be cheaper to purchase a new a Js260 then order the part and fix it myself.
I will look at all options before I consider repairing this unit.
