Value For Money

Reliability

Power

I've used this saw for multiple projects and have not been disappointed. From cutting iron pipes to demolishing redwood gazebos, the RS7 has met all of my needs. Highly recommend - you will not regret it!

Smooth, powerful, ideal for DIYers and pros alike!

boschtools.com

This is my 3rd saws all I have owned. I bought it for several reasons. Name brand is well respected for quality. quiet and powerful and had a case to carry it in. My only complaint is the quick connect does not always hold the blade if your in rough cutting with allot of vibration. I have never owned a saw with a quick connect so I am not sure if that's normal. That aside, I am very happy with the saw and would recommend it to my friends.
Mike Corum

I picked this saw up to help with some home demo work - removing walls, old doors and windows. Lots of power, easily cut through nails, screws, wood etc. The unit is heavier than I had expected however not cumbersome. The led light is a great feature.

Performs as expected!

Bosch continues its winning streak in my tool collection. Powerful, stable and well made, it is in fact so good that my wife has taken to pulling it out every weekend to work on the trees in our backyard. Sometimes I think she likes it even more than I do.

Very happy with this purchase

I bought this tool as I was faced with the task of demolishing a large deck.  It sailed through without problems.  Blade consumption was significant but perhaps reasonable given the amount of cutting required to reduce deck to pieces acceptable to urban garbage collection.

I purchased a reciprocating saw from a local tool supply store and after using it for about 30 minutes my hands where numb and the saw was burning hot. I had alot more work to do so i went to a big box store and picked up the Bosch RS7. What a huge difference. The saw is powerful and gets the job done. The cheap saw ended up in a dumpster

Great saw

I have been very impressed with this powerful tool. As I carpenter I use it most days and it is very reliable. The variable speed trigger is very handy and easy to use. Overall this is an excellent power tool and I have and will recommend it to others looking for a powerful reliable reciprocating saw!

Cant beat the RS7

I bought this saw on sale about 1 month ago. I don't use a recip. saw all that much but it does come in handy on the occasion. Nice feel, very smooth and powerful. Constructed well. Liked the LED feature when cutting in dark places. Carrying bag was a bonus. Keeps everything together. Slightly heavy but well worth the price.

Reciprocating saw

This is powerful saw really speeds up getting the job done thereby increasing productivity. I have used the Bosch RS7 mostly for demolition work and it has been up to the job every time. I have found it very easy to control the depths of my cuts so I don't damage anything that is not being removed. The LED light is really helpful when working indoors. The saw has plenty of power and cuts wood or metal easily. The blades are very easy to change and lock in securely as long as you make sure to fully seat them.

The only very minor criticisms I have are that:

It is a bit on the heavy side (most other makes are as well) and so I would not want to spend a lot of time work off a ladder with it.

A quick release on the adjustable shoe would be very handy and make depth adjustment more efficient.

A shorter stroke (it has the same stroke as most others on the market) would be convenient for working in tight corners.

Bosch - RS7

I just received my saw today, previously I was working on cutting up an approx 72 inch diameter tree and It killed my ryobi R. S. When cutting through a 72 inch diameter tree it did ok but there is a slight flaw , or possibly with using other brands blades or when just using thicker blades in the tool.

Flaw in using other blades
