no crap it caught fire your amp has too be equal too or greater then the watts of the sub. this is 1400 watts so of course a 1000 watt amp would cause problems. the sub wasnt bad its all on you for it catching fire so not sure why you gave a bad review on a pruduct that was strickly user error and you just didn't know what the heck you were doing and that caused it too ruin it. maybe hire someone to install your stero system next time or watch a couple youtube videos about how to do it properly. good luck to you.

I loved the look of the sub right out of the box and I constructed my own cabinet for the subwoofer as I have done many times in the past. It was very easy to install and the sound quality is amazing. I am going to get one for my other vehicle based on this testing. Good quality and a good price.
