I started using Boveda packs last year to maintain the proper RH (relative humidity) for my solid-wood ukuleles. They are long-lasting and work great. I very the case humidity with a digital humidifier gauge and it is consistently around 49% ~ the target of the Boveda packs! 

A must have if you really want to protect your solid wood instruments. Best of all no refilling water-filled humidifiers that also risk damaging the wood if they leak which they can sometimes do. Not a problem with the Boveda packs, and they even have their own holding sleeves that come in the kits.
