I absolutely love these hooks. I bought one of the singles they offer to try it out before I bought the set and I was sold on them and I bought this set. I am not disappointed. the hooks are smooth. there is no dragging or snagging. the grip is soft and comfortable and easy to hold. easy on the hands and lightweight. I love them and this is my new go to hooks

I have a tendency to lose my hooks by sticking them into whatever item I'm looking for, which usually leads to having 10 hooks roaming around.  

These hooks are so good that I ended buying two packs, with plans to purchase another. They are amazing! My thumbs usually hyperextend with regular hooks, which also leads to many WIP being dropped because of the pain. The grips on these have led to picking up a few older projects, and actually finishing them. They are soft. But not so soft that I cannot maintain my hold position. 

The hook part of these are so nice and perfectly meet the needs I have with the stitches. Not too slippery, but also having the correct texture to work the yarn.  

If you see these particular brand of hooks. BUY THEM.  These are that good.  They are amazing.

Never Thought I'd  Review Hooks…

it took me a minute to get used to the grips after using the regular metal ones for so long, but im so glad i dont have so many callouses, blisters, and wrist pain anymore!

I like this type of ergonomic hook. The "handle" part of the hook goes up quite high on the hook which offers more control which is why I ordered the set. I didn't read what sizes were in the set, I just assumed they were the regular sizes. BEWARE! Most of these hooks are in the less-used sizes (2.25 mm, 2.75 mm, 3.125 mm, 3.75 mm, etc.) The only commonly used hooks included are 3.5 mm, 5 mm, 6.5 mm, 8 mm %26 10 mm. I'm not unhappy with the quality of the set, but it didn't really help me in replacing my commonly used hooks. I think Boye needs to be clearer about what sizes are in the package.

BEWARE!! Check the sizes of the hooks!

Handles are great!  The hooks are not smooth and will not go through the yarn easily.  I was really caught off guard by these hooks since I have always purchased Boye products in the past.  Maybe it's time I don't.  For beginners this would be horrific.  Holding onto the hooks causes less stress on your fingers because of the padding but the ease of use is offset by the roughness of the steel on the hooks.

Look for a different brand

The needle size written on the  handles in white are very hard to see. That is my only issue with this set.

Not every hook was up to standard. Some of the hooks are not very smooth and the yarn drags. I've always had a great experience with the Boye hooks that don't have the ergonomic grip. This is sooo disappointing. Not the same quality AT ALL.

The handles arw very comfortable. But the sizes for the most common sizes aren't correct. The I9 should be 5.5mm, but its 5.25. The J should be 6mm, but its 5.75mm. i do not know if .25mm makes a difference or not. Also, I wish the tops of the hooks were more pointed. The vintage boye hooks I own have a more pointed top which makes it easier to insert the hook under your stitches.

These are exceptionally poor quality. The metal part of the hook is visably pitted. It gets stuck on the yarn and is challenging to work with. Very disappointing, as I love the regular aluminum Boye hooks.
