I have purchased Braun products since 1971, including their food processor, hand mixer, coffee maker, electric shaver, electric toothbrush, and now the coffee grinder. They employ the best engineers and industrial designers in the word. Doing this translates to the highest quality products. Braun products have never let me down.

Braun is a brand known for it's high quality products. I am using Braun portable blender and Braun Smoothie Maker %26 Blender. Solid kitchen machinery, which does well everything it is suppose to do. And they all last for a very long time. German engineering is probably the best in all fields. But in the kitchen Braun brand is a must. I recommend this coffee grinder to all espresso lovers.  it is easy to use, equipped with a grinder control for all types of coffee.

I wanted a coffee grinder that wasn't manufactured in China, because the grinders I've had before this one did not last. This is my third grinder, the others just stopped working, one only lasted three uses. I recommend this product. I'm a devout coffee drinker and have used coffee grinders for a couple of years. I needed a coffee grinder that would stand the test of time.

Excellent coffee grinder

The coffee grind results are awesome. The burr operation is superior to the chopping/blending process. The stainless steel exterior is pleasing to the eye. The grounds container is anti-static, so the coffee grounds pours-off easily. It is surprisingly quiet during the grinding process. Good value.

Quieter than my previous burr grinder. Full range of settings. I'd prefer the bean hopper were a bit larger but overall I'm very happy with the Braun

I really like this coffee grinder because it has made it possible to make a good cup of coffee.  There are a couple of problems though.  The  bin is hard to get the ground coffee out of after grinding.  Also, I have mine for only 4 months and it no longer dispenses the correct amount of ground coffee.  This may be because I have gone to a French press and brewing a smaller amount at a time.  4 cups instead of 8.  The other small problem is that the upper part doesn't really hold many coffee beans.  Pretty much have to refill it after every use.  It would be easier to just measure it into the top bin and grind it all, instead of using the measurement dial.  
I still find it to be a great coffee grinder that helps me make a decent cup of coffee.

Does it's primary job (grind coffee) quite well.

Good coffee grinder

I'm disappointed with this grinder. Although it grinds ok, it is very messy and coffee grounds have to be cleaned after each grind. My original Braun grinder was much simpler and more efficient. Sadly the plastic casing cracked although the motor was still working. I hope Braun will make a simpler coffee grinder in the future.

This machine cannot grind well. The size of the coffee it grinds is too coarse and it lowers the quality of the espresso. I was not satisfied at all.

Not good

I owned a KMM 20 for 41 years before the motor burned out and replaced it with this grinder. What a disappointment. While it is quiet it will not grind beans fine enough even for drip brews. The espresso setting (1) is so coarse and results in horrid  lattes or cappuccinos.  I thought perhaps the upper burr was not locked or seated properly but  everything appears okay. I have attached a photograph of ground Kicking Horse coffee and Kicking Horse beans ground in the Braun.  It will be returned to the point of purchase if there is no solution offered.
