The Braun coffee maker is an attractive pot & makes good coffee. I broke the pot & got fast service when ordered a new pot. I'd advise any friend this brand of coffee pot is the BEST!

Replacement carafe works like it should in case yours breaks

This carafe is unique to these coffee makers, so others don't fit. The glass it is made from is extremely fragile and breaks very easily. Given the thinness of the glass, the replacement pots are exorbitantly priced. I really like the coffee maker, though their lifespan is not long. I'm on my third one.

It's fine. It's a glass carafe, not sure why it's so expensive. I was happy to pay more for a higher quality machine, but if the carafe genuinely makes up a third of the total cost of the unit, it makes me question the quality.

Had to buy this replacement carafe as our original cracked over time. The glass these carafes are made from us extremely thin and fragile - they cost about half of what the entire coffee maker costs. Ridiculous!

Expensive and fragile

This is my second replacement carafe. The glass is thin and will eventually break. Braun used to build lasting products, but this carafe is evidence that has changed.

Not built to last

Fits like the old carafe, but it feels lighter and the glass is thinner, judging by the weight and feel of the carafe. I am afraid to place it on my granite countertop and crack it. I bought a replacement immediately after reading the reviews. It's sad Braun doesn't produce in Germany anymore, because quality seems to be affected.

Fits as advertised but seems more fragile.

Very thin glass.  I have been through a few of them and the slightest tap and they break.  Another how cheap can we make this for situation.   Sad.

Cheap glass - will break

Too easy to break.  It broke within less than a year's moderate use.  Braun used to make durable parts but not any more.
