Makes really flat sandwiches, but it does close and latch. Don't pay attention to the time they state, my sandwich was done in about 3-4 minutes not 7-9.

It's a nice little machine for the price. we've used it a few times and it toasts a sandwich well. If you are planning to load up with a lot of fillings, this thing will squish everything pretty flat, so it's not really the best for a thick sandwich.

Not a big fanof it as it has  o control panel to adjust the heat or automatic shutoff

Ok to grill sandwiches

So, this works it toasts everything great but within the 3 or 4th use the handle to lock it snapped and broke. I did not use any force I am a pettit woman (weight about 114lbs) so no force was ever used on this to lock it plus, I am the only one who uses it and it just broke. I am still using it because it still toasts.

The machine works very well, but after 2 days, the closure has broken and we will have to innovate a solution to be able to close the machine on sandwiches.

Good but... broken closure

Unfortunately, I have to return it the plastic latch has broke as I tried to make a sandwich. Itâs a little smaller then I thought it would be, if you want to make toast with long bread like rye you have to make one piece at a time. So Iâll look for a larger one thatâs not plastic. I knew the price was too good to be true.

Once again, I cheaped out and didn't get a real panini press. My bad....If mashing (at the most) two slices of regular bread and doing it on an impossible -to -clean piece of trash is your idea of yum, get this. Otherwise, save up and get a good one. It toasted the bread OK, but I couldn't leave my sandwich on long enough —without burning the outside —-to even melt the cheese in it. Otherwise, save up and get a good one. This one is already in the trash.

A waste of money!
