We've had a Breville kettle for years and loved it. This new model is more complicated but seems to do the job just as well. It is easy to use and keep clean. We'll see how well it lasts… so far, so good. Recommend.

This has been a great purchase.  We love it and use it all the time.  You're probably asking yourself why you need to spend this much money on something that boils water, but if you're an avid tea or coffee drinker, you'll love this.  The different water temperature settings, and the most important "hold" button are fantastic.  Nothing worse if you're busy then coming back to a kettle that's boiled and you can't remember how long and then wait to do it again, or trying to time it so your water isn't full boil.  This kettle takes care of it all for you.  
It's one of our favorite new members of the family, and less noisy than our kids.  In fact, it's quiet and it's "beeps" are soft and not annoying either.  
Can't say enough about this kettle and it's quality.  Buy it!

This is my second kettle I buy. My first one, I escaped it to the floor and the sleeve broke. That's why I bought a second one. I am very happy with this kettle. I use it every day, for coffee, for tea. As I see various kinds of tea, I find it super convenient.

Satisfaction of a client.

Very well made kettle that looks attractive on the counter and is ergonomically well designed and easy to use. It has a handy beep to let you know when the water has reached the desired temperature and it resets to off once you lift the kettle off the base. One down side is that the indicator showing the amount of water in the kettle is not very easy to read in order to to determine how much water is in the kettle, and is not illuminated when the kettle is on as is the case in some other electric kettles.

Faster and more economical to select the temp appropriate other than full boil and use energy less. We heat water many times during the day , its probably one of the most frequent uses of electricity here.

The IQ kettle is great! This is our 2nd (first one lasted almost 10 years). The only negative is the new cord design. The cord coming out of the plug on an angle and  gets in the way of anything on the right side. It's very stiff & awkward. I prefer the previous design & hope Breville goes back to that style.

Great kettle but new plug design is terrible

This third one seems to be working normal so far.
Overall though a very disappointing product considering its price tag. All other home appliances are Breville and work well, this one seems to be made of poor quality steel and rusts fast. This is the third IQ kettle after two returns, hopefully this one outperforms the former two otherwise I will not be purchasing another Breville kettle.
