After only 2 months of use, I have no problem with this espresso machine. I really appreciate the possibility of changing the temperature of the water. This allows me to lower the temperature when I use very roasted or black coffee beans. The brewing time programming seemed more or less useful to me but I must say that it allows me to define the duration and thus 'automate' somehow the production of my cup of coffee. My coffee grinder does not allow me to get a grind fine enough to use single wall filters, the pressure gauge is not useful for me at the moment, but will eventually become when I change coffee grinder. In short, if you control the temperature, the brewing time, and whether the grind is properly ground, you will appreciate this espresso machine.

Excellent machine - very high quality/price ratio. It is hard to beat this machine when it is paired with a very-high-quality grinder. Simple of design, simple of operation, high performance. I figured that my previous Breville espresso machine (a model no longer available) pulled over 10,000 shots over the years before I wanted to upgrade it, and I expect this one will perform equally as well for as long.

Excellent machine - very high quality/price ratio

We've had several Breville Cafe Roma machines which give 8-10 years of reliable service producing 3-4 lattes a day (somewhere in excess of 10,000 which seems awfully good). This time around, we decided to get the Infuser and so far love it. It took a few practice shots to find the best setting on our burr grinder and choosing the best portafilter before producing the first latte. The machine looks complicated—what with all the buttons, dials and gauges—but it's intuitive and actually very easy to use and I love the longer, adjustable steam wand and the hot water feature for an Americano.

So easy to use

The first one sent was inconsistent in volumetric programming output. Customer service responded quickly and sent me a replacement, which works just fine. I definitely recommend the infuser. It is an excellent consumer product. It's very easy to use and the coffee tastes great.

Great espresso machine

Very nice addition to my kitchen.  I really enjoy good coffee and espresso.  I normally like an americano with nothing in it.  I really enjoyed the custom programming functions of the infuser to automate the process one you get it dialed in.  I wish it had a 58mm basket so accessories would be easier to find but there are some good quality ones around.  So far after a little less than a month of owning the infuser I would definitely buy it again.  For the price it can't be beat.  I have only used the non pressurized porta filters.  Have some patience at the start to get it dialed you will be rewarded.  Just make sure you have a good burr grinder if you are using the non pressurized porta filters.  You cannot get enough consistency with a blade type grinder.

Great espresso maker for the price.

The Breville Infuser is easy to use, allows beginners to understand and become home barista(s).  More importantly, Breville support is quick to 1) fix a defective part or 2) replace the defective machine with another model.  Much appreciated by the user.

Great Machine for making coffee

I have had this espresso machine for over eight years, and I absolutely love it. I highly recommend this model; you will not be disappointed. To enhance the experience, I also recommend investing in a good coffee grinder. I use the Breville Smart Grinder. Love it too. Of course, you can buy these two items integrated but at the time, I could not afford that. So, I bought the machine and two years later, I bought the grinder. Overall, I would say the Infuser is more affordable than many options on the market and produce consistently a good cup of coffee - latte, cappuccino etc.

Great choice!

I bougth the Infuser 7 years ago, and it works flawlessly ever since. The Infuser is very easy to use : open the lid of the reservoir and fill it without lifting it ; push a button and it prepares a delicious coffee; two buttons and a cleaning tablet cleans the machine ; manipulate the steam wand safely with the handle. The steam output is moderate, and it takes a bit longer to froth milk, but it is more forgiving this way.

A reliable coffee machine

I like it and it makes great espresso. My issue is the steam/hot water knob. It is so stiff I need two hands to turn it off, which is difficult while holding a hot cup in your hand. I called customer service and was told this is “normal”. So I can only use it when my son is home to help me. Does not seem like a normal condition to me. Probably would have bought something else if I'd known about this problem.

Breville Infuser

It is not as good as the older Barista Pro Express I had.  The steam control button is overly stiff and the new method for controlling the pressure for the extraction is odd.  I need to lower the extraction pressure.  I added an aftermarket handle for the steam wand control that i am very happy with.

Infuser as replacement for Barrista Pro Express

I've had my Breville Infuser for several years & have enjoyed it's simplicity, although, the coffee has never been hot and for the past year or more it's only luke warm requiring me to put it in the microwave before adding the steamed milk - which changes the flavour!  
It doesn't seem to matter how long I leave the machine on, the coffee comes out luke warm.  I have heated up the cup prior to starting but it doesn't make that significant a difference in temperature of coffee...  
Is there anything I can do?  PLEASE HELP!
