This freestanding floor lamp will go well in any room in your house and the portable lamp can be an ideal light source for reading. However, what's great's about this multi-functional tool lamp you can easily adapt it for a desk workspace. Simply extend the pole piece to convert from desk to standing floor lamp.

Included with the lamp is a built-in LED 9-watt bulb featuring 900 lumens for optimal brightness, and the bulb will last for a longevous 100,000 hours, saving you money on each electric bill. I really love my Brightech magnifying light! I like to crosstitch on linen and it is a must that I have the magnification.This light does it all. The only problem I have is that it doesn't turn as well as I would like on the magnifying part;still trying to work it out with my recliner.

This is a great lamp with a good lens and no distortion. The cover is very helpful to prevent dust and keeps you safe. The magnification is so good, I can now thread a size 12 needle for beading. The lighting has great adjustment features and the lamp is excellent.

This Brightech light was the solution to a big problem, I didn't have a good place to cross stitch in my house because of the poor lighting. I don't even use the magnification because the light is so strong and adjustable. I can easily thread my needles and can adjust the spring arm easily. It would be nice if it had extensions to use around table legs and swivel the entire lamp.

My initial use of the "1 x LightView XL Magnifying Glass Light: 2in1 Floor Standing to Table Lamp," proved to me I sorely needed this lamp! I used this lamp solely to do beadweaving; I sew small seed beads together to create art jewelry.  I immediately noticed the difference from the Ott light I was previously using to this light. Initially I used only the lamp without the magnifier, which was great by itself.  Then I figured I purchased this lamp for the extra magnification, so I might as well use it! Now I cannot bead without it!  The construction is sturdy and when I move the lamp arm closer, it stays put, which I appreciate. I have only used it as a floor lamp, I have not used it as a table lamp yet. But I am glad I have the option to do so (once I make room on my beading table!)

The Light I Never Knew I So Badly Needed!

I was having difficulty beading, I was using a much smaller magnifier that was not working well.  Now I can see the entire area clearly.  I find it easy to adjust the height so I am not working in an uncomfortable position.  I highly recommend this product.

I have been doing plastic models and dioramas since 1974 and had a slew of magnifying lamps over the years
The lightview XL is very sturdy, well build and versatile
It can be positioned on the floor or on the table (note that this thing is heavy)

When it sits on a table or desk, the magnifying glass is in landscape mode and in my mind perfect
When positioned on the floor that will become portrait mode and less practical in my case
The lens can not be moved left to right, only up and down
That might be a handicap but by the same token you can not beat how sturdy the mechanism is

The lens has almost no distortion which is a surprise for an oval shaped lens
The only negative comment is that the glass is VERY reflective!
I have to dim the other lights in my hobby room as the ceiling lights reflect badly in the lens
All in all, I would recommend this monster lighted magnifying glass and would buy it again in a heartbeat

Probably the best magnifier lamp for the money

This lamp has saved from countless aches and pains. I needed a lamp with a magnifier for my hand sewing and applique. I had used one with my glasses but I needed an upgrade as it was causing me a lot of neck aches, and I am so glad I did. There is a metal rod that you don't see in the picture, it helps to keep the lamp steady. I just slide it under my armchair so I can get the lamp close enough.

This is a great adjustable product. The white light is very nice and the front handle makes it easy to handle. The 3000 kelvin is just right for a desktop. The magnifier is smartly made from glass instead of plastic and the white light. I also got the white metal clamp which works very well with the unit. It came well packaged and the LED offers great color temp too. .

This lamp seemed yo be high quality, although I never even turned it on.  Once the lamp was put together,  I realized it wasn't tall enough for where I intended to use it.

This light arrived well packaged and works very well. It gives off a nice spectrum of light, I use the magnifier for reading and hand work. For damaged eyes though, it doesn't provide enough light unfortunately. Before this, I used an incandescent bulb very close to my face but the heat was very uncomfortable.
