the Litespan by Brightech makes a sturdy addition to bedroom lighting. An adjustable gooseneck lets you pivot the lamp head, while the weighted base holds it steady, so you can focus the light wherever you want it. It provides full spectrum daylight hues, so it's good in rooms that have less sun exposure. that last for 20 years/50,000 hours, this lamp gives your space the light you need for intricate craftwork like knitting or sewing, and it's great for reading music while playing an instrument. LED light brings out the brilliance of colors to eliminate eyestrain! Simply press and hold the button on the lamp head to vary the light intensity. Let go when you reach your sweet spot. It'll even remember your choice and return to the level you pick the next time you turn it on. Litespan gives you bright white light where you need it, but because it's an LED lamp, it doesn't produce heat like incandescent ones. In addition, the LED light never has to be replaced because it is expected to last over 20 years. When off, the button stays lit as a mini-night light with a soft, unobtrusive amber glow. Because the LED bulbs of the integrated fixture are behind a plastic diffuser, the Litespan is NOT recommended for stimulating the growth of plants. The dimensions of the light cover are 7½ inches long by 5 inches width, with the depth of the lamp holder approximately 1½ inches. The 2-prong power plug works only with standard 110-volt outlets; the plug will not fit into 240-volt outlets. Easy assembly takes 5 minutes. A step-by-step diagram shows you how to arrange the 3 pole sections, base, and lamp fixture. Slowly turn the poles clockwise, and you'll need a Phillips screwdriver to align the final pole with the sturdy base.

need strong bright light for reading books these days and this lamp delivers. second purchase of same. aesthetic design is utilitarian but is appropriately reflected in price. base is heavy and thusly perfect

It was similar my old CF reading light that burned out. If it lasts as long as that did, it will have been a good buy. It looks good, works, and came quickly.

As Advertised - Good Value - So Far

This light is fantastic!  I already had one and recently bought two more. I have macular degeneration and cataracts and getting enough light to read and perform basic functions at home was challenging until I got these lights.  I can't sing their praises enough as they have improved my life 100%,

I find this lamp to be what I need for reading and screen time.  The dimmable feature is used every time I turn the lamp on.
I'll also be using it when I do needlework for the brightness and pure color.  With macular degeneration creeping in this is
just the lamp for me.

Great adjustable reading lamp ByAmazon Customeron October 8, 2016 Color: Havana Brown. This is a great reading lamp and is exactly what we were looking for. I didn't want anything big and bulky, as the space by the chair where we wanted to use it is a small space. It fits in the space perfectly. In addition I love the fact that by holding down the button, the light can be dimmed or brightened. It is a very bright white light, which is what I wanted, but if that is too much, you can dim it by holding down the button. The on/off button has an orange light that stays on all the time, which makes it convenient to find the button when you need it. The neck of the lamp is also adjustable. The base is also sturdy, so no risk of tipping over. And, it was simple and easy to assemble. If you're looking for a reading lamp for a small space, this should definitely fit your needs. I'm very happy with our purchase.

Floor lamp is exactly what I was looking for.   Light is very bright and great to read by  I can finally see again. Lamp is very portable and can be moved easily.  Lamp gives out large amount of light that can be dimmed as needed.  love the goose neck flexibility.  Got mine in plain black and it blends in with everything.
Also got one for my sister and brother and they love it.    Am also purchasing one of the magnifying/lights for another brother and I hope it helps him as well.
Base is stable but small enough that it does not take up much space.  Very easy to put together.

Just what I needed - Love my Brightech floor lamp!

Great Reading Light, wish I'd got one sooner!Bymorgan pon October 5, 2015.Color: Natural Wood|.I don't know who likes this light the most, my wife or our dogs! When my wife gets up and starts her morning bible reading, all the dogs know her floor lamp is going on and run in to lay under it. She tells me the light makes reading easier and she really likes it. She keeps it on bright so I guess the dimming feature hasn't been used. If the lamp were less expensive I would get another just for the dogs they like it so much. We are very pleased with the light, especially knowing that under normal use the LEDs should last 20 years or more. I was about to buy a fluorescent full spectrum lamp, then I learned that the bubs had to be replaced at regular intervals. I recommend this lamp for both reading and comforting animals, namely canines but I suspect cats would like it too.

It provides MORE than enough LED light and the dimming option works great. In fact, I seldom have it set on the highest level as it is almost too bright (love those lumens) when reading. The goose-neck allows for light to be angled in almost any direction. The base is very heavy and sits firmly on carpet; hardwood or laminate would be absolutely no concern of being knocked over or tipping. It comes securely packaged and assembly is easy. Even I could do it! I am planning to buy another for my bedroom and another for my daughter's makeup vanity. The price is fantastic; others are much more expensive and do not have the quality and options of this lamp. I'm sold! You won't be disappointed. Shipped promptly and delivery was on time. If you're looking for a quality LED lamp, fairly priced, and quite versatile, this is the one.

Great lamp

Bright light and attractive design. ByJennyvilleon February 24, 2017. Color: Havana Brown|. This lamp is perfect for those that do fine craft work such as needlework, crochet or knitting. I have a very dark living room and I love that I can dim it for daytime or nighttime light. Night time reading was impossible. I bought the Havana brown and the color is very rich looking. It's unusual to buy a practical piece of equipment that is also attractive. The actual light is VERY BRIGHT. I prefer for it to be dimmed somewhat but that's what I love about it. It's very easy to dim. The button is right on the light at the top and you just press and hold to dim. The light does not get hot. After sitting under it for 10 minutes or 10 hours you will never feel hot from the heat of a lamp like some others. The LED light is somewhat different than fluorescent light but I adjusted to it easily enough. The cost of this lamp is very low when compared to the form and function that you will be rewarded with. ???????? Highly recommended.
