I love my new trash can. It allows me to fill up the whole bag with trash before taking it out of the can. my old one I had to pull up and out and continue to fill. It locks the bag on. The top stays up so if I'm peeling something it stays open, hands free. I really am very happy I got this and I love the color!

This trash can is $10 more expensive than the 13 gal one with the most reviews on this website, but it is entirely worth it. It looks great, and I love that the step is metal and sturdy. Theres also an extra rim underneath the lid that you can tuck the garbage bag around, and you cant see the garbage bag when the trash can lid is closed.

can't be beat! Is a must in your kitchen. Is so elegant (silver color) matches with stainless steel appliances. It closes slowly (extra awesome) instead of slapping down. the garbage bag goes under the rim (nice touch) easy in and out  An outstanding value!!!

13 Gallon Silver Trash Can Best Ever

I was looking for a lidded trash can and came across this Umbra Brim 13 gallon Kitchen trash can. I have a few other Umbra products that I have had over a year which are very durable and I really like. So, I felt confident buying this trash can. It was delivered in great condition. The design is really nice.. The color looks modern.   The foot pedal works great.  I'm very happy with my purchase. This trash can uses 13 gallon bags. I use the Great Value brand Strong Flex, fresh cotton scented bags. They fit perfectly into this can. The design of the can holds the top of the bag tightly opened and there is a ring that clicks down over the bag edge.  I have no bag slippage and I am able to completely fill the bag.   Step onto the foot pedal to open the lid and toss the trash in.

I purchased this item a year ago and love it. I just purchased it for my nephew and his comment was sharp.

Good looking step on trashcan. Doesn't look like other cheap plastic ones and as much cheaper than the stainless steel ones. Only issue is it seems to be a little bit bigger than 13 gallons because 13 gallon bags don't fit very well and they're constantly splitting and changing . so I don't know what I'm gonna do. I may have to go up a size. Also, the bag rim holder is a poor design because it doesn't stay up when you're trying to change the bags. It's a little cumbersome. And you have to keep your foot pushed down on the pedal to keep the lead up, which is also weird. It should have a feature to prop it open to keep it open when you're changing the bag.

Nice but…

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I haven't yet figured out how to secure a trash can liner inside the bin.  I also was surprised by the cost - it was more than I expected such items to cost. But I purchased it anyway.

The lid doesn't open far enough and then doesn't close all the way some times. It slides too easily on our tile.

I don't hate it but I don't love it

Visually perfect, fit perfect for space, but after one week, first week in emptying contents the lids do not close completely.  The opening is large enough that it exposes odors  I really wanted these to work

I liked the size and shape of the Umbra 13 gallon trash can, but it was delivered with a broken lid, so I had to return it.  I was planning to re-order the same trash can, until I noticed an $8.00 increase in the cost. :(  It was made in Canada, so I hope this company will improve the plastic.
