This thing is the best!!  I bought it because I don't have to replace the filter for 6 months!!! It was worth every penny to have good clean water for my grandkids to drink. i has to stop drinking water bottles because of the particles, so i needed to get a water filter brita 27 cups because i drink a lot of water.  i was told by friends to get the brita,boy were they right.  i love the taste and it comes with one filter.  the filter just needs to be changed out every 6 months to a year.  and it's like 35 for two,  so that is great! i would DEFINITELY recommend this brita 27cup

I'm a longtime PUR user but have found Brita to be more accessible and economical in recent years.  So, when my PUR dispenser cracked after 10 years and I ran out of filters, I decided to make the move.  I should have done it earlier because Brita filters last much longer before they slow down and need to be replaced. I was replacing my PUR every month since the filtering stopped a month sooner than promised.  The Brita rectangular dispense is favorable to the pitcher model, because it holds more water.  And if you buy this color, I have found the price as much as 50% less than other stores that carry it and the pricier black model.  It has a narrower footprint in my fridge than the PUR square dispenser. I'm hoping that its spout won't turn black as quickly as the PUR did. You have to bleach the spout to remove the bacteria.  Any model of filtered water is less harmful to the environment than water bottles. I sincerely hope Walmart customers agree that plastic bottles aren't healthy for sea creatures and spoil the natural beauty of the ocean blue.  We all have to drink water, so Brita, so far, appears to be the best of the home filtered drinks options. I used a Brita filter fifteen years ago. I'm happy to give the company a second try.

The Popular Brita System Works Makes Common Sense

This water filter is great for a home with one or two people. The filtered water tastes good.  I would recommend this water filter. I am impressed by the quality,  also.  

I wish I came with a white lid and filter chamber since we've recently been warned about black plastics for cooking, etc.

Love it for 2 person house

I transferred the Brita Standard filter I was using in the pitcher to install it, but the filter is loose and doesn't fit snugly. Because of that, some tap water isn't being filtered and is flowing down below.

The Brita filter included with the dispenser fits perfectly.
However, the filter I previously purchased for use in the pitcher is slightly loose in size.

Is there a separate filter specifically made for the Dispenser? As far as I know, they're all supposed to be compatible.

Something is wrong.

I have a under sink tap filter I use at home that has a little better flavor water. But if you travel for work, live in an apartment or something this is a great alternative. takes out the chlorine, which I have a mild allergy to and gives good drinkable water.

Been drinking out out plastic bottles for the longest, so a big save on the environment. After the 3 months, when you need to change the filter, black stuff started to appear at the bottom. I believe it was the material inside the filter. Was a great indication to change the filter.

We've only used it for a short time but it seems like a good dispenser. The only issue is that it is very small and has to be refilled very often. We had the competitor brand which was larger but did not filter out as many contaminents as this one. Would still recommend for a small household.

This Brita is supposed to have a filter that lasts approximately 6 months. Well, we've gone through 2 in 10 weeks and just today switched to the cheaper classic Brita filter.i feel scammed. The only thing i do like is the size. We drink a lot of water and also have a SodaStream.

Not worth the money

To be honest, I absolutely love Britta pictures. I've been using them for years. I put out the $37 or whatever it was for this one thinking that would last me - however in the third day. It cracked right above the spout , because of the price and my love for Britta, I was careful with it so I am thoroughly disappointed that cracks developed around the spout although it's not leaking yet. But now I'm afraid to fill it because the weight will make the cracks worse and I'm disabled so it makes it really hard to return it.. so yeah, as much as I love Berta, this one disappointed.
