[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I upgraded from another brita filter because the lid did not stay put.  This one has an improved lid that stays put and doesn't fall off. I did take one star off because putting the entire filtration top takes some getting used to. To get it to fit you need to put the lid on the bottom part and put it in all together, if you try to add the lid after you have added the bottom part to the pitcher it does not close completely and it tends to sit tilted to one side. Once you get used to doing properly it is easy to clean and change.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love having cold, filtered water to drink now! The pitcher is the perfect size in my fridge and doesn't take up too much space. I wish the lid secured a bit more instead of just resting on top, though.

Perfect size

I have been using Brita for more than 30 yrs and own several styles and never had to replace anything except to replace the filter.  I got this style (in gray) for my daughter because it matched the color motif of her place.  After 9 months, it started leaking at the bottom.  Not sure if a new material was used for the pitcher itself.  I've have the big rectangle dispenser, a slim and a round - none of them had problems on the pitcher so I'm really disappointed in this one.  I would have given it 1 star but it worked great until it started leaking.

I loved using this pitcher for the past three months, but this morning I found a micro-crack on the bottom of the pitcher that caused a slow leak. This pitcher has seen nothing but usual sink-to-counter-to-fridge activity and has not experienced any droppage at all, and hadn't seen the inside of a dishwasher yet. I was shocked and saddened to find the crack and am thinking that the plastic is too brittle for daily use.

Brita or Brittle?

When I opened my box the bottom of the pitcher was all broken I had ordered it to avoid going to the store which is 1 hour drive from my home since I live in a small village. So I had to return to Gatineau and give my money back and bought another one except for travel expenses.

Disappointment

Almost the same experience as the previous reviewer. We bought the first one, used it for a week and the bottom starts to crack so we got a second one and the same thing happens after a few uses. Not even lasting a month! Was this model made with poorer quality plastic?

Cracks and leaks!

I have bought 2 of these so far. I will not be buying a 3rd. 

First one I bought about a year and a half ago. It lasted about 3 months before small stress fractures developed on the bottom of the pitcher. Thinking it was a one off defect, we decided to replace it with the same model. And again 3 months later was have a wet counter and fridge. Not sure why this model is still on the market.

RUN AWAY!!! Bought 2, both leak after 3 months

Not even a month after buying this model. I have used the other old model from Brita . But this pitcher gave me a bad experience. It started leaking this week. I was even blaming my poor wife thinking she broke it. Now came to know from other reviews that it cracks and leaks itself.

I bought this size pitcher for the convenience of my small home. Once filter is installed, you cannot snap the lid close it just sit theres loosely. The only way is to remove the filter, and well that's simply just not a functional practice.

I bought this about 2 months ago and it has been cracked and leaking the whole time. At first i thought maybe i was overfilling it, but then i saw the crack in the plastic. Seems like these are all defective
