Great product, but would be even better with LED lights.

Easy to Install...solidly built.

broan-nutone.com

We bought this fan to replace an old one. We wanted something with a bit more power because we switched to a gas range. It was actually quite easy to install and the extra parts we needed to vent to the outside were easy to find. It isn't very loud even when on high and the lights work as lights do. Lol

Love this fan so far. Looks and works amazing

I purchased the Sahale in July of this year 2020. I purchased it because of Braun's reputation, that the screens can be removed, the filter replaced and the beautiful design. However, the exhaust s extremely loud. It is so loud, that when I have a dinner party and someone happens to be in the kitchen while cooking, it's impossible to carry a
conversation. Which is very embarrassing. Also, if I use only the low speed it becomes unbearable to cook. The box it came in states it's a low sound exhaust. This model needs some improvement or the box shouldn't state that the exhaust is a low sound. If I had known, I would have definitely purchased a different model. As I stated it has some good features and the the design is great, but the design is insignificant if the product doesn't function.

Not completely satisfied

How to remove a burnt bulb? I checked and couldn't find the place.

Change of bulb

Two light bulbs, only one still working. After I remove the light bulb, it has 3000hr lifetime label printed on. The hood is still in one year warranty.

Bought 9 months ago, now one light bulb went out

I bought this unit to replace an existing older Broan range hood. First problem…. Vent hole is offset a few inches compared to older unit so didn't line up properly with existing hole in side of my home. Extremely unhappy about that but had to continue regardless as you've already pulled out the old unit and pulled the metal tangs off the new unit for the specific vent hole type you are using etc. Obviously you don't discover this until old unit is removed and you're trying to install new one. Second point….don't believe instructions that this is a “one person installation”, you need a second pair of hands to safely do this. Unit works fine, but also unhappy about the halogen bulbs(?)…clearly newer LED lights would be more energy efficient and generate less heat. Unsure if I can replace bulbs with LEDs because of two level lighting switches. Otherwise unit is acceptable despite fan exhaust not going to be as efficient because of mismatch of vent holes. Beware of this and don't assume if doing a replacement and measure very carefully so you know in advance before you tear everything apart!
