It stood through all of their teenage years plus but when we decided to remodel, it decided to retire. I bought this to replace the one in my home that finally died of old age.  I was delighted that the same design still existed and I could simply pop the old one out of the housing and replace the motor with a new unit and not have to mess with removing & reinstalling a different housing.  It was a very simple procedure and I was pleased how quickly it could be done.  It seemed a bit loud, and it may be my imagination, but seems to draw even better than the old one did.

Broan fan

Does a great job of turning over the air in my 60 sq ft bathroom when the shower is running. It is louder than the fan it replaced, but I don't have to run it nearly as long. 5-10 minutes after the shower is done vs. 15-20 minutes with the old fan.

Moves lot of air, but a little loud.

The fan is very loud but it works really well. It is a great price though so it makes it worth it.
