Filling

Quality construction that looks like it should last a long time.  If it doesn't at least there is a warranty.  For our needs, the size of the feeder is excellent.

I love it! The squirrels sit under the feeder and get what the birds do not eat! Very easy to fill and have enjoyed watching multiple birds come by and enjoy!

Great feeder and squirrels get “leftovers”

So far, so good. Have used it for at least two weeks and the squirrels can not get into it. Very easy to fill and use.  You must read their instructions which probably would have helped me with other bird feeders.  It must be hung at least 18" away from where a squirrel could jump from.

Truly Squirrel Proof Bird Feeder

I wanted a totally squirrel free bird feeder. I already purchased the Squirrel Buster Standard and it worked just as it stated. Squirrels tried many times but could not get to the seeds. I then purchased the Squirrel Buster Legacy which is bigger and holds more seed. Also the metal perches are bigger too. I placed them in trees in front of my living room windows and watch all day birds going back and forth and not one single squirrel can get in even tho they still occasionally try. Saving money on seed now too. The squirrels like to munch on what the birds drop as they eat. 
Going to purchase another Legacy style for the backyard.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The birds give it a five+. does not waste food and easy to fill on a flat surface. Has become so popular, I am filling it almost every day. So if I were doing it over, I would choose the larger unit. Otherwise Great Choice

Should have bought the big one

The squirrels can't get the food from the feeder but the birds love it. In the last 3 days I've only seen 2 squirrels on my deck. They try to jump from the railing to the pole but the Slinkys I've hung have defeated them almost every time. The few times a squirrel made it round the Slinkys the feeding ports closed when they tried to get on the feeder. All in all the feeder and the pole were a great buy.

An advantage in the battle with squirrels

This feeder replaced one I 'd had for years. I noticed our number of birds dwindling and thought a change was due. Within minutes of placing the feeder on the hook, the birds were back. This feeder allows the birds to wait their turn on the metal mesh siding. It's very easy to fill and washable. The instructions and bird information included are very helpful.

Excellent bird feeder. Durable, easy to fill. I bought 2 of them.

While this a well made easy to fill feeder, for some reason the birds don't visit it as often as my inexpensive plastic bottle screw on converter. Then, even though I fill this squirrel buster only half way, the seeds get damp, start sprouting and clog the feeder. I'm constantly filling the not easy to fill plastic bottle feeder. I even let the plastic bottle feeder remain empty and still the birds mostly ignore the other squirrel buster feeder.  I had another larger, similar cylindrical feeder that had the same problem of moisture causing the seeds to sprout and clog the feeder. There are drainage holes, so I don't understand why the seed sprouting keeps happening even when there is no other feeder around to distract the birds.

I had this feeder for a year.  Here's what you need to know:

1. Squirrels had no problem jumping onto the cage and used that to cling to while eating upside down
2. If you are not hanging it under an eave: the seed got soaked and the bottom metal tray rusted. That would have been okay if the rust remover I use often had worked on this metal but it didn't ;-(
3.  I paid $45 for this  'Squirrel Buster" and, because of 1
