Prone to cracking, especially on top left side.

Can be straightforward, but also challenging for some users.

Layout and functionality can be overwhelming, causing user confusion.

Newly converted bidet owner here. If I can install this by myself, anyone can. Really appreciate the customizable temperature settings, strong water pressure, and eco-friendly feature. Worth the investment. Normal toilets will never be the same. . .

My husband and I have had back issues due to age related and surgeries which makes it very hard to reach back and wipe. These lids are so helpful! Our grandkids love them too!!! They are so easy to install and a lot less expensive than a complete bidet toilet.

We love these bidet toilet

This is my second Brondell Bidet Seat.  We wore out the S1000 after 10 years of use.  The CL1700 has more features: a cool blue light, which we love, and a "strong" wash feature.  This spray harder than the normal wash settings, which we wanted.  Would have bought the more expensive S1400 if it had this feature.   The CL1700 only has two nozzles, but it works fine.  Pulsating spray is also an improvement.   However the sloped toilet seat lid is not as strong as the S1000 and it flexes when you sit on it.  I'm sure it will eventually break. Plus the "soft close" for the seat and lid are not as good as the old S1000.  They have "notched" indents rather than one continuous slow close.  The remove is touch activated, where the old one was little buttons that clicked noticeably when pushed.  I liked the old remote better.  The only real complaint, is our toilet is flush sides with access only from the back. VERY difficult to install. The manual says that these toilets may be impossible to install, and they are almost correct.   With "Strong" wash, pulse and moveable positions, this still does a great job and is a pleasure to use. Glad we bought a new one.

Brondell CL 1700 Comments

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my second Brondell bidet seat. Although this one is better in some respects (it has more warm water available), it has *much* less seat space and requires us to sit too far forward. For the men, that means their private parts wind up touching the front of the toilet when they are seated. Also, the remote control is to "busy" and the multitude of buttons with similar functions is confusing.

Some good points

This is the second brondell CL1700 for me. It replaced one I purchased in January 2023. The reason I had to replace it was because the seat cracked on the top left side. What started out as a small hairline crack about an inch long grew to about 8 inches, developing a wide gap by the time I replaced it. The stated seat weight limit is 330 pounds, I'm 240. I feel that the seat should have lasted longer. As a side note the fan (Dry) was not responsive using the remote. So, looking to replace the toilet seat bidet I looked at several manufacturers, gave up, saw that the brondell CL1700 was still available so I just bought another one. Now, as for the "new" CL1700 the problem with the fan (Dry) seems to be fixed.

This is the second brondell

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Issues with setting and using remote control. Toilet sit quick set bottons are "forgetting" presets on the new one, old was good. Get 2nd time, as it has rare good mounting on the compact toilet - 2" to the tank. My first lost control after few year. My first remote control was too sencitive so I kept it face to the wall. My new sit sounds cracking like plastic not glued completely. Waiting to re-glue :) Funny, yes.

Issues with setting and using

Worked fine for 3 months, then heater broke - I sent it back for warantee-covered repair, re-installed and the heating element broke on the second use. So now I have to de-install it AGAIN and send it back. Starting to think it's not worth the hassle. . .

Disappointing product - heater broke TWICE

Every much dislike the remote. Finding it very difficult to read. The words are too small and too faint to easily read. Also. It wouldbe extremely helpful if remote were lit.

Disappointed in remote

Have bought three in the past 3 year, one completed died right after warranty. Second the remote died after 5 months, third the remote died little after a year. Getting aupport is difficult, getting a phone answer is impossible and sending an email response takes over a week. Think I'll be looking at other brands moving forward.

Not reliable long term but functional

The remote works about 1 time out of 20 times for me. Spouse claims it works about half the time. I'm ready to throw it out. Manual buttons work. What am I doing wrong?
