This is an excellent home printer with good speed and great quality.
Of copies. the wireless feature makes it incredibly
Convenient. list printer would be sufficient for a small office as well as a home. haha highly recommend.

walmart.com

This printer is AMAZING for the price. It scans, copies, and prints (it will even fax with a landline). The setup was EASY and fast. I was printing in less than 10 minutes after unboxing. There was NOTHING difficult about getting this printer going. The other very popular brand I was using had constant problems. As a college student, I needed toner printed pages so I could highlight on my printouts. Definitely worth every penny. I am so happy with this purchase!!!

So quick and easy!!

I ordered this after 2 years without a printer as My other new printer had bought jammed after 2 uses and this is my first laser printer and it has been wonderful. I had to learn to use a laser but once i did it is very easy to use. Some says it goes into sleep mode which is true but not an issue. It prints on both sides of paper. It is very fast compared to my old inkjet printers. Knowing that when I turn it on it will work and not be clogged or dried out is piece of mind. So far I'm very happy with this printer.

It is fairly simple as far as multi function printers go, the original toner cartridge ran out at about 1/2 a ream of paper but the good news is it does seem to play well with after market toner cartridges..a major concern for other printer manufacturers.
I'm quite happy with this printer.

I'm very happy with this printer

So far it's very nice. Easy to setup, wireless printing and scanning works perfectly. It's very quiet and ink cartridges will be affordable. We hope it lasts us many years!

I am sixty-five years old and I hardly ever write reviews, but I love my printer and copy machine! I was so tired of having to go to staples, etc when I needed to print out a return label, print out an important document from my cellphone or when I needed a xerox copy of something. This printer does everything with ease and it is senior friendly. This is my best investment for the year 2026. I am beyond pleased with my purchase from Walmart.

Great price and quality. This is my second Brother printer, better than the first, I'm able to scan legal size document and adjust the quality of the print. it was easy to assemble and easy to use.

Printer arrived next day via FedEx.
Wifi setup was a tad tiring. I finally figured out I could do it entirely from the app (save for occasionally needing to push a button on the printer) instead of fiddling tediously with the up/down buttons on machine to enter the wifi pw - but even from app it seemed a little more complicated than necessary, and timed out a few times during connecting. But in the end got it done. So don't give up. lol
I've printed out a few docs so far, and all came out perfect. It prints fast, and can print on both sides of paper.
I bought this printer, after doing some research, to replace the frustratingly sorry as can be Epson inkjet printer that constantly needed cartridges replaced, and then either left blank spaces or ink blots on printouts.
I already like this brand new Brother laser printer 1000% more than the old Epson inkjet. I only occasionally need to print anything, and my understanding is that laser printers that use toner cartridges are much better suited for such use. Fingers crossed! This printer only prints in black and white (thus the "monochrome"), but that is perfect for my needs.
To help with setting up, especially with installing the toner cartridge, a youtube video was a big help and easier for me to follow than the diagrams. Look for the 9 minute 14 seconds video titled Brother DCP-L2640dw Setup, Install Toner, WiFi Setup, Copy, Print %26 Scan Test that has over 57k views. There are other good videos but I found that particular one the most helpful.
If photo comes through, printer is on a 16.5 x 16.5 in table. Oat bar on top for scale.

Finally a printer that works!

Works well so far. First printer that I have had that actually works wirelessly. Set up was not as easy as I would like. Found it a bit confusing as it took me from the Canadian site to the U.S. site and I had to open accounts on both but finally got it and as the printer seems to work well the time spent seems worth it. Someone who is good at tech would probably find it easier than I did.

It works

I dislike that Mac OS Monterey does not print by default, like Catalina did. I also dislike it not including an installation disk, because satisfying Apple can be time consuming on older Mac minis. I removed a star because of the missing installation disk.

Works well

I have had virtually the same printer for the past 10 years or more and purchased this one tp replace %26 upgrade. I'm sure the printer is high quality because I've never had a problem with Brother products. Unfortunately this one is the exception to the rule. Setup instructions take you down false trails and lead to the message "an unexpected error has occurred." Then you start over. If you follow the instructions, you have to press the scroll key 15 to 45 times per character to enter the password for wifi when Press To Setup (PTS) is available. I had to start over when the password was incorrect. Installing the drivers fails if you follow directions, I still haven't figured out how to get past that one. It's like having a Rolls Royce sitting in your driveway, and no way to even open the door. I do NOT recommend this printer.

Beautiful machine to look at.
