I need to replace my ink jet printer with a printer that could scan, print (without having the ink dry out from lack of use) and wireless seemed convenient.  This printer checked all the boxes, plus duplex and mobile.  Despite little experience in setting up wireless connections I managed to get it done.  Works great!

It does what I need it to. I don't have to hook it up to my laptop. I just print from it or my phone. I've only had it for a couple of months., but I'm happy so far. I love the fact that it prints on both sides automatically.  No extra wires to attach.

Great For Small Jobs.

My last Brother printer stopped working, but I had it for a few years. So they obviously don't last over 5 years. I bought another Brother because the price was right and I was just used to Brother printer product. It's pretty easy to set up. I use all functions. Print, Scan and copy,  so far so good.

once connected to wifi, this connects to everything on the network. phones, tablets and laptops. printing is easy and fast. prints 2 sided. haven't used scanner too much as it can only do 1 sided, individual scans. it is black only laser printer. ideal for home office.

If your a person that prints a few times a week, and don't need color this is a good choice. It fills my three requirements, copy, scan and print. It connects to your network via WIFI or to your computer via USB. Setup was kind of a pain, but only because of my network with 3 brother printers. For most people setup should take less that one half an hour. You can also print from you phone. And it is very quiet too. I also have a brother laser printer set up in a remote location and it works even though it has not been used in months try that with an inkjet. Over all I don't care about print quality but this one is great for what I do. 
 Now for the things I don't like. Brother cheaps out on the toner. How much more could it cost them to fill the cartage, but then that may be the big money maker selling you a replacement cartage. But if you shop around they are not that expensive. I have or had 6 brother printers and only one died, but that was after 5  years of use. One other thing brother keeps trying to sell you stuff all through the installation process, and it is a PITA to keep clicking NO.
 As for Walmart I ordered the printer in the morning and picked it up in the afternoon. And my unit was on sale so the price was ok

Good daily printer.

It's a nice compact 3 in 1 machine.  I have a different brother 3 in 1 unit and love it, so I figured I'd give this one a try. However this one doesn't automatic feed when copying documents, so I have to copy one page at a time and  the ink toner is pretty light( it looks like it's running out of ink , it's a new ink cartridge by the way) when I copy pages The ink is much brighter when I'm printing.  
The scanner works great.

i seen alot of bad reviews about this printer being unable to connect  wireless . I had the same problem until I looked on the bottom of my router and it was a 4g router.  I got a 5g router and it connected right up.

make sure you have a 5g router

Terrible setup and software; would not purchase a Brother printer again. It tries to force information sharing and requires a series of drivers downloaded through the website, then installs additional software that can only be cancelled during setup if you're watching the progress. Very consumer unfriendly - disappointing; bought as an alternative to auto-refill inkjet printers and it has the same privacy issues.

Bad Software and Information Sharing

Installation guide very sketchy.  Installing it is a big ordeal in the hands of an expert.  For those who don't want to use Wi-Fi the machine does not come with a cable to the computer and the instructions say you must buy a compatible cable! very disappointing to start with.

After one week of use, I have a door alarm failure. What a pain. The printer won't function because it thinks the door is open which it is not. The sensor must be failed.
