[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've used this product for the past several years and it's the only printer that's  performed so well and consistently in the last many decades of struggling with one printer after another.  I was frustrated for years with  printers that malfunctioned in one way or another and don't know how much money I wasted trying new ones until I found this particular Brother model. It  has served me extremely well.  If I had more patience, knowledge or time this one could most likely have been repaired but I had some immediate work that had to be out and felt that for the reasonable price I'd buy a new one.

The setup was so uncomplicated. The interface is simple and straightforward. The quality of print is very nice. So far (only a few days in),  I'm a fan. I would not hesitate to buy this printer. I had recently bought a more expensive Canon printer, and OMG the setup and function was like rocket science. The manual alone was like 600 pages. By the time I figured everything out it would have been outdated. So, if you're looking for a reasonably priced printer that is simple with good quality color/B%26W, this is a good choice.

I've had more than a few printers in my life and different brands but I do really like this one the best. It does more than I thought when I bought it. It works even better than I imagined but I've only had it for a few months. Hopefully it will last and I am very optimistic.

Works great!

Very quick printer, scanner and fax. Takes a while to finish the setup but overall a great printer once you learn to use it. Also, a great value on ink!

Nice printer for all it can do

I loved the printer until it grew a life of its own,  Working fine for the 1st month, set up a breeze. But then, with the power off, nothing displayed in the window, it turns on and cycles.  Then turns off.  Brother cannot fix, this issue is new to them.  I downloaded new drivers and firmware.  Got worse.  Now if turns it self on and will not stop this cycling.  I tried to hit the power button, but did nothing.  Display window was dim.  All I could get out of Brother is a replacement,  Now pls keep in mind I do not use it much and 4 months old.  well in the fine print, all I could get is a refurb.  Thank stinks.  I have a new printer from a usage standpoint and they trade me a refurb.  Who knows how much usage this refurb has.  Once they fix it, Brother will have a new printer.  Usage is barely noticeable.   I had HP printers for yrs and my 1st Brother.  All I can say is do not by this printer as it grows problems no one can fix.  I am very disappointed in this printer.  works great when it does not have a mind of its own.

False advertising. Says its a duplex printer,  but the feed tray does not do duplex. So if you want to duplex copy,  you need load one sheet at a time. Not the end of the world,  but it should have a giant warning that it is not real duplex.

I was pretty easy to install, but from the beginning the paper jammed and I followed all instructions to correct.  It never worke.  I packed it up and returned it.  Hopefully, this was just one bad case, I did ask for replacement.
