I'm so glad I bought this model print label machine. It's easy to operate and looks like a miniature typewriter. It comes with a starter roll of tape. I haven't had a chance yet to connect it to my computer but I'll be able to download more fonts and art designs. I'm totally happy with it!  Now I can keep everything neatly  labeled. Excellent Label Maker

I've had my Brother PT-D600 for years now, and I couldn't be happier with it.  I knew there might be one or two things I could use it for when I got one, but having it in my kitchen or home office (it floats between the two) keeps it top-of-mind for lots of projects I would never have thought of.

I love to bake and make candy and have it out when I host friends and bring it to the office or to family events.  I use my P-touch to name my creations and list out key ingredients, to know what flavor profile to expect, and to ensure anyone with allergies knows whether to partake or stay away.  I'm constantly changing up the fonts and frames and adding symbols - everyone knows to expect that from my treats by now.

For organizing my workspace, this model is great for me because it can also connect to the computer.  I use the keyboard 90% of the time, but now and again there's a certain image/logo I'm thinking of, or I want to feed off of an existing data set without recreating it manually, and connecting the USB cord makes that easily accomplished.  It's also great that this one goes up to an inch in width, so I can add a few lines of text at a time, or just have big bold images/words.

I recommend this model for anyone who wants the greatest versatility in where it's being used, what's being labeled, and what design options you'll need!

Upping My Organization & Baking Game!

Overall this works very well. I have used genuine Brother labels which print perfectly. I have mixed experience with third party labels. While significantly less expensive, the quality varies. I also use this printer connected to my Macbook Pro to print LEGO labels. This also has had mixed results. If the label is on the longer side, 6+ inches, it tends to not printer properly. But this has been a reliable label printer overall.

Works well for its intended purpose

Great label printer lots of features, but complicated to use as stand alone, this is my forth Brother Label Printer I have always preferred to create my labels on my computer in P-Touch Editor, however Brother refuses to update the P-Touch Editor software to contain everything the the P-Touch Printer PT-D600 has on it.

Great Label Printer

The printer works great by itself, but connecting it to my pc is awful. The software is clearly outdated and it's extremely difficult to do something as simple as printing multiple labels back to back. Probably the most annoying thing is that my company requires Helvetica font on all labels, and of course this font is included in the printer and not the connectable software.

Great printer, horrible software

My machine works great as long as I use the 1" EZ tapes. However, when I use the .5" tapes they binds in every time in the machine. I have complained to Brother and you gave me new .47 mm tapes. Those too jam and bind up in the machine. I have complained a second time and have requested a new machine. It has been 5 days but still haven't heard from Brother yet. I was told I'd get a an email when my replacement shipped. However, I haven't heard anything yet. Hope to hear from Brother by tomorrow.

Has Potential - Mine Not Working Right

Bought two PT-D600 devices for workplace to replace personally purchased PT2730 device.  Since day one the PT-D600 has jammed coming out of the cartridge about 2 out of 3 times on both devices, using a multitude of different tapes.  Removed bristle piece and it helped, but still jams about 1 out of 2 times.  Wastes a lot of tape and time.
