I LOVE using my new Brother Scan N Cut 125e DX.  I got it March last year but I've only scratched the surface of what I can do with it.  It will scan up to 11.6x11.7 inches at 600 DPI in full color.  Nearly whisper quiet unlike the Cricut and Cameo which are so noisy.  I can use it to foil, pierce paper, engrave (with 3rd party tool), cut, draw, scan.  It can cut through almost any material up to 3mm thick.  It accepts 12x12 and 12x24 inch mats for cutting, drawing, scanning (my model only supports scanning up to 12x12 inches).

While it does have on-board storage I've found it fills far too quickly.  Thankfully though there are USB ports I can use.  A Type-A USB 2.0 port for attaching Flash Drives, powered USB hard drives, powered USB Solid State Drives, I have it connected to my Windows PC via the USB Type-B port (supports Apple PCs too) for use with their offline software.  

I chiefly use it to make magnetic jigsaw puzzles, draw out .SVG designs or my own .FCM creations to import into PC Stitch 11, to cut out cards, door hangers, PopSocket sized stickers, custom gift bags

extremely accurate and does exactly what the cutting files say.  The scanner is unique to Brother and cricut and silhouette cannot compete with this extraordinary feature.....it is almost mandatory for seeing the cutting material and the design on screen.  no subscription fees like cricut....no computer needed if you do not want to use it.   uses standard cvg and several other formats.

I received it in 3 days!!! I was scared from buying but when I received it, it was totally worth it. Made my first box and absolutely LOVE IT! Its a little pricey but if your starting a small business it’s definitely worth buying. I RECOMMEND IT!

MUST BUY

I wish I would of snowboard about this machine before I bought my silhouette. In one day of projects I accomplished more than one year with having my silhouette.

Love my new machine.

I bought this machine mainly for cutting my stamped images, my printed ephemera pages, and my traced die cut images.  It works really well for everything I hoped it would.  I'm still learning and I'm sure there will be many more projects I haven't thought of.

I bought the brand brother because I like your products. My friend preferred Cricut. It was a shame to compare the two machines. First, she bought a lot more accessories. Their operation is much more accurate. And what about the price of uffff accessories. I don’t think I’ll recommend your brand. Thank you

Disappointment

Brother Canada FR PROD

First, I love the machine, but the 3 stars is based on the overall system which includes the mats that you use. They don’t last long, they are not self healing, and very difficult to find replacements and they are expensive. You can only use the mats that are for this particular machine, otherwise it won’t load. I use it primarily for direct cutting of embellishments for journals. The amount of time saved when fussy cutting is substantial. However, the machine reads solid lines, so if your graphic has no distinct border or outline it will cut into the graphic.

Downside…the mats

The machine I received was used. The mat that holds the work was opened and was printed on making it useless. There was not shipping material. The pen cap was missing

I have tried every combination to cut stickers. it is a joke! it will NOT cut using a kiss cut.  It cuts through the image even thou I tell it to cut a white border it still cuts thru my images.  I would not waste my money on this machine again!  BUY A CRICUT!!!!!

Frustrated and not happy
