This was a great value! Super simple to set up it pretty much set itself up! Printing is quick and clear. sometimes my old color ink, jet would print really wonky and the cartridges would run out so quickly! I’m really excited to have a laser printer that won’t need toner replacement quite so frequently

I am happy with this purchase. I struggled with inkjet quality, reliability and refills for years. Finally, I purchased this item as a replacement. Although I kept the inkjet installed for the possible and rare color printing need. Installation was fast, easy and intuitive. And, my HP laptop recognizes and accesses the printer whenever I need it. The resulting printed pages are quickly completed with a much crisper quality than I was achieving through the inkjet printer.

Reliable Printing %26 Quality

I would get an epson printer before the brothers. They are way easier to just take out of a box and print with even a canon printer. The brothers make it difficult you have to download apps and go thru hoops before you can just use it. It also doesn’t have a screen on it.

Not easy to use

I’ve researched printers before ultimately settling on this one and I have no regrets. I was tempted by the multi color printers but I didn’t know how often I’d be using my printer and was worried the ink cartridges would dry out way before I was actually able to finish the ink, so laser printer it is! It was easy to set up and get working immediately. I’ve printed about 500 pages sporadically and the ink is still going strong! If you’re looking for a printer that is reliable and you don’t want to throw away money constantly buying new cartridges because the ink is drying out quicker than you can use it , I highly recommend this printer!

Reliable, consistent and a great value.

I've had several of these Brother laser printers over the years (different models), and they've all worked well for a time.  I kind of consider them disposable, because most that I've had work for around 3 or 4 years and then something goes wrong with them.  The last one I had decided that it wouldn't connect to Wi-Fi anymore.  I tried all of the suggested remedies, and finally just put it in storage and bought this one... which connected immediately.  For the price, I still consider them a super deal though!  Actually, the old one might still work if it was connected by cable, but I don't have the space or the proper cable to do that.

In operation this has been a nice little printer. Jobs, once sent, process quickly and the printer produces a good quality print on one-sided and two-sided print jobs. I have had it for a month or so and printed several jobs. Once connected to my wi-fi and set-up in windows I haven't had any problems connecting, or reconnecting after shutting it down. The only problem I had was with install using the manufactures instructions. I don't remember the particulars but the install process glitched out, and I ended up doing more of a manual install. For those not PC savvy, it might help to have a geek standing by. Of course I installed on Windows 10. Windows 11 might be easier. Overall I am pleased with the printer.

Nice Little Laser

The set up was relatively easy, but the cartridge that came with it says 700 pages but barely printed 200 before it said toner was out make sure to order a back up right away. The quality of the print is less than I was hoping but is of quality for price of printer

Mixed emotions

This machine is useless.  It prints from my desktop and phone, but it won't scan even though the name on the printer is printer scanner.  It won't print from my laptop.  Worst of all, it won't even copy.  I spent hours on the phone with Brother support.  They acknowledged that it was defective and told me to return it.  The only thing worse than their product is their service.

It kept going into sleep mode while the app was “connecting “ . Had to start over from the beginning multiple times and it kept timing out while the app was “connecting “when we finally got to that step,so I finally gave up trying to get wireless printing set up. I did get it to print something from my computer, connected with my old usb cable.  (Not included) The app of course wants you to make an account with your email and password but also requires your full name and cell phone number. I deleted the worthless app from my phone but now my cell phone number is still out there being sold to spammers.
I assume the free toner that came with it will need replaced long before this machine pays for itself. I would send this hunka chintzy junk back but I need to be able to print even if I do have to send stuff to my email from my phone then get on my computer and print from there. Thanks for a crappy printer, brutha!

Wireless set up is impossible Zero Stars

I will be returning this printer. I needed it to print wireless. The setup software would not find the printer either with a wifi or usb connection. It would print when connected with a usb cable and I could print from my phone. I have 50 years experience working with electronics and spent over three hours trying to get it to find the printer with a wifi connection. It connected to my router after I used the front panel and manually connected it, but I could not get my PC to find it unless it was connected with a usb cable. Brother support was no help, the person kept sending me to the support pages I had already used, and none of their suggested solutions worked. I was very disappointed with the whole experience. I would not recommend you buy this printer unless you don't need wifi printing.
