I had back surgery in 1993 and now have arthritis and a bone spur in my lumbar spine. I also have a job that requires me to sit at a computer for 8 hours a day. With a normal desk chair, I was having back pain every day. I was initially skeptical of this "Back-In-Motion" chair because the back is not adjustable, but because the lumbar cushion moves with the bottom seat, your back is always supported right where it needs to be. I'm also very tall and the seat has plenty of length to support my legs and plenty of cushion and angle so as not to cut off circulation after hours of sitting. The easy movement of the seat/lumbar cushion also promotes moving my back around in the seat just enough to keep from getting stiff. This chair has ended my daily back pain issues, and I'm grateful to WalMart for stocking it at a price that I could afford. Highly recommended!

No More Daily Back Pain

I work from home and have been searching for a chair that would fit my specific needs: lower back pain, sciatic pain, and circulation issues in my legs. 
The rotation of the chair makes this chair so comfortable! I have returned multiple chairs that felt perfect in the moment, but after a couple of days, their flaws were revealed. 
This chair is definitely a keeper!

Comfortable For All Day Use

It is unlike any chair I have ever sat on before. The motion when leaning forward still provides back support of the lumbar region. Doesn't cut off circulation in the legs.

I like the Serta Back in Motion chair.

This chair is great. I had back pain daily but since i purchased this chair that is gone. Love the extra back cushion, Definitely worth the money.

GREAT chair.  This is the second one I've ordered.  Very well made, sturdy, and extremely functional.  I LOVE the way the lumbar support moves independent of the overall back of the chair.  It is almost like a mini chair-in-a-chair...weird sounding I know, but if you are looking for lower back support while camped-out in your office chair the majority of the day this is the way to go.

I'm only a little disappointed in this chair. I went back and looked at the description and the measurements are correct with the chair looks like it has a much higher back on it and what it does. And it looks more luxurious than what I actually received. The chair is good I will not return it it's fairly comfortable But again not exactly what I was expecting. This is one of those items that I probably should've gone to the store to look at before I bought it

A little deceiving.

The chair is much smaller than I expected. You have to fully assemble it although the directions are very clear and helpful.  The chair is comfortable but I image it wouldn't be for everyone.

comfy but small

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The seat area does not have proper cushion support. My body weight of 250 lbs. does not have proper cushion in the seat.

Need more cushion in the seat area.

First off the positive, this chair has a very good leather finish with nice looking stitching, the chair looks super and seems to be very durable, as a matter of fact it would be perfect if it didn't have the back in motion, which is really seat/lumbar in motion, and had a truly adjustable lumbar.

The negatives, the lumbar is not adjustable and is fixed to the base seat pad at a rigid 90 degrees approximately. What makes this absolutely horrible is that the base seat pad, what you sit your butt on rocks front to back and you can't set its tilt or stop it from moving. I have a bad back and due to this and the fact that the lumbar drives you forward with the seat actually hurt my back, I couldn't sit in this chair for any amount of time without severe pain.

Also the seat height at its lowest setting was still a bit high for me, and that's a first of all the chairs I've ever owned.

If the lumbar would have been a part of the seat back and the base seat didn't freely move at whim I would have kept this chair even with it a bit high for my normal seating position but unfortunately I was forced to return this chair. To bad because it has a lot of potential and is very attractive too.

Almost the Perfect Chair
