The original company had this desk on their site for over $300. Being able to purchase it for a little over half that was definitely a good deal. It took time to put together but it looks great in my office.

Looks great and saved $

This desk is beautiful and looks more expensive than the price.  Follow the instructions and it's easy to put together, it took me an hour at most.

The desk is beautiful!  However, you might want to think about where you are going to store your office supplies.  You have to be creative to make this 'Beauty' practical.

Good looks vs Practical

The open style and x on the sides as well as the dark top with light bottom is nice. However, it's poorly designed: The holes for the dowels are drilled too deeply, so it's not as sturdy as it should be. Also the flat top is made of 4 pieces when it should just be 2 pieces. There's no structural reason for the 2 small top pieces - they just add unnecessary work, dumb looking lines, and the grain pattern direction doesn't even match those of the 2 larger pieces.

This desk is nothing like the quality I expected from the picture. It is cheap MDF material only. I thought the top would be real wood that had been stained light grey, it is hideous grey MDF overlay. It doesn't even look like wood. One sweating cup placed on it will leave a pucker mark within five minutes. The desk itself is also a disappointment since it is not as sturdy as I thought based on the picture.  I would not purchase this desk again.
