In theory, this should be a gentle exfoliating toner. It uses the gentlest AHA, mandelic acid, at only 5%. Plus it has ingredients like centella asiatica, panthenol, beta-glucan, and licorice extract, which are all soothing. Yet ... this had the same amount of, if not more, uncomfortable-tingling-verging-on-burning that I get from glycolic acid, the strongest AHA, at higher percentages. I had to stop putting it on my face. Instead, I use it on my arms to minimize KP bumps.

More Irritating Than I Expected
