With the CAP Barbell 1" Standard Chrome Spring Clip Collar, you never have to sacrifice safety while you get in shape. These collars prevent weight plates from slipping off dumbbells and weight bars. By using a dumbbell collar for weightlifting, you ensure proper technique and weight distribution that helps you maximize the force you place on your muscles and gain maximum benefit from your routine. While mostly used to secure weights, these devices can also add to your workout. You can squeeze the clips to work out the forearm muscles and improve your overall grip. These weight collars have a chrome finish on the springs that prevents them from rusting, and their fine grip handles make them easy to fasten around and remove from bars.

Durability

Clips hold weights securely and are easy to use.

Made with materials that meet or exceed expectations.

Can be snug, but may not fit all bars universally.

Great barbell collars. I purchased this for a new 1 inch barbell for deadlifts. Very strong hold. Very high quality construction.

I also found another use for them. I keep a pair at my desk. Every morning I do three sets of 12 squeezing them in each hand. Excellent for improving grip strength.

If you are looking for removable collars for 1 inch barbells and dumbbells, these collars a great choice.

Note: these do not work on barbells with threaded collars (the kind where the collars spin on).

Excellent removable collars for 1 inch bars

Much better than my old set that I had to put in a vise and hammered them into submission to round them out properly. These work with zero tweaking and also have a reasonable amount of handles compared to my old ones so you can get an easier grip when putting them on and off. For the price, I can't see anyone going wrong getting a set or two.

Better than my old set.

These are standard barbell clamps. They are made of metal and have some rubber at the ends of them so you don't hurt your hands. They are really sturdy and have been really good so far. I was worried that these wouldn't fit or that they would slip off in the middle of a workout, but they're perfect for a 1 inch barbell/dumbbell. They also work decently well for a forearm trainer. Nothing too intense or strong, but they're excellent if you're recovering from something and want to take it easy. The grip is a nice addition and makes removing them a lot easier. I tested it and each were able to handle more than 100lbs of weight which really exceeded my expectations. I would recommend these to a beginner for their home gym

Better than what you expect, at a good price

I was nervous about how well this 1" bar and spring collars would work. I have never used these in this smaller bar size before. I am impressed. The collars work as well as the Olympic size spring collars work that you find at the gym. I use them to hold over 260 lbs in weights with no issues.

Better than expected

I wish the thumb and finger clips were a little larger to make it easier to take off and put on but other than that they fit very well. Weights don't move at all.

Super tight fit

Collars fit my 1" dumbbell bars just fine. I do have to squeeze them all the way until the handles touch to get them on, but once they are on they are not going anywhere. Which for me, is a plus as I wouldn't want plate weights sliding off onto my face.

Works well.

wanted it for a quick way to add temporary weight to my bench press barbell for a leg exercise. It does the job much quicker than removing the set screw collars.

works fine for my purpose

Work well for what they are. A bit tight to squeeze on.

Great

The weights will not fall off and the clips are very very strong, I sometimes have a difficult time opening them enough to fit on my standard bar. Once I finally get them on, they work great

horrible! i bought them to go along with a CAP 1" barbell and they don't even fit their own product, they are way too big and don't clamp down. i thought maybe it was just on the first set of clips i bought, so i bought a second thinking it was a minor error.... nope. the second don't fit just like the first.
