Plates have built-in handles for easy lifting.

Features handles with curved shape for secure holding.

Weights have a smooth finish and precise measurements.

I really like the quality of these weight plates, of all the versions that I own these CAP plates are my favorites. I also like the price and the hassle free delivery.

CAP Weight Plates are worth the money

All right.

I was in need of some extra plates but did not want to spend a lot of money. These plates did the trick. They have a nice durable finish and I like the way they are shaped. They are easy to handle and they fit nicely on the bar and rack, nice and compact and do not take up a lot of room on the bar.

Great value, Great price.

Fast and Reliable! First time successfully getting 2" plates after 3 failed attempts with other vendors. CAP delivers while others ship 1" plates when you purchase 2" plates.

Fast and Reliable! A

I'm a SHW raw powerlifter. Deadlift and squats are in excess of 700 lbs. I bought 45 lb plates x 12 (already had a few on hand). I've had trouble in commercial gyms that have polyurethane-coated, interlocking plates since an OLY bar could only accommodate 7 plates on each side. But these thin disks, being roughly 2/3 of an inch thick, save a ton of room on the 14" sleeves, offering a great deal of bar-realty for future strength growths.

Some have complained of needing to file the weights to fit them onto the 50mm sleeves, but I had no such issue. They fit well, work well, and look great. The only reason why I gave them 4 stars is because their overall diameter is 17" and are slightly less then the traditional 45 lb plates by approx. a half inch. It's really not a big deal unless deadlift is your main lift, if it is, I'd suggest lifting strictly with these plates and not mixing it with others, otherwise you'll lose all benefits from bar whip.

Great Weights For Powerlifting

Bought a set of 25's and 2 sets of 5 lb'ers to go with my Cap Olympic Bar. Three plates slide right on without any resistance. One of the 5 lb plates however did not fit the bar but when I tried to slide it on the opposite end, it worked. So I'm guessing either my wiggle game is lacking severely or the hole was just a wee bit smaller than the other 5lb plates, or it could be the bar. Nonetheless, all of the plates are on my bar now and there is little to no clanging noise while lifting. I will be purchasing more in the future.

All holes are not made equal?

Walmart did a great job getting this to me. When I tried to put it on the bar it had lumps that kept it from going on. I thought " No big deal, probably paint". Not paint but over run metal from the casting process. Luckily I had an air die grinder and was able to remove the metal and use the weight. Would have been a lot of filing for somebody without the air tool.

quality control suspect

The weights smell horrible. Like a chemical kinda smell. The holes in the 25lb ones weren't great, had to file them down a little bit so they would fit the bar. I suppose a weight is a weight though.

Trying Not To Be Too...whatever

Recommended for beginner weight lifters who just bought their first home gym. Acceptable quality for the price. You get what you pay for.

Great for first-time home gym owner

I had to file the holes out just to get them on my bar, they had burs and slag in them. The were very inconsistent weight and the holes weren't even straight. Very rough to handle as well. If you buy these make sure you have gloves, a file and a some time to clean them up before you plan to use them.

Very poor quality, not impressed at all.

CAP Barbell 2-Inch Olympic Cast Iron Grip Weight Plate, Single, 5 lb centered front-facing view of a single black semi-gloss cast iron 2" Olympic grip plate with a 2" center hole, four oversized grip cutouts, rounded edges and contrasting silver-painted '5 lb' poundage marking on a plain background; often used as a compact anchor for resistance-band workouts.
