I bought the CAP dumbbell rack because I have a full compliment of Cap dumbbells (5-25lb)  that were just on the floor of my garage that eventually became tiresome to keep stepping over. I searched and saw the rack and was happy to find it was from the same manufacturer so it should be constructed specifically for their dumbbells and it was. The rack is a very solidly constructed piece and it was very easy to put together. I'm very happy with the purchase and the product. Highly recommend.

It is strong enough to do the job. Easy to put together. The screws had painted threads, so you'll need a socket wrench to help tighten with the allen key tool they provide. Set up time is 10 minutes roughly.

Dumbbell Rack

the stand was easy to put together, just has a VERY strong rubber odor.  I have seen this same comment before in other reviews. Maybe the designer can heed this feedback and modify it so that alternative components can be used. Otherwise, it certainly does the job it's meant to!

Rack fit the weights I use well. It was easy to put together, although you need an additional wrench (not included) to hold the lock nuts in place when using the hex wrench to tighten the bolts.

Good rack for the price

Overall, I was very satisfied with the quick delivery and ease of use of the web site. I usually like buying things on sale and this was a good deal. So far it works and it is meeting my expectations.

Pros:  Easy to install
            Sturdy

Cons:  Has 5 pair of dumbbell holders.  However, if you have dumbbells that have 
             plates (larger dumbbells) the rack will only hold 3 pair.

             To lift off the dumbbell from the rack, I can only get three of my fingers (not my
             hole hand) on the dumbbell, in between the side rails.  Be careful not to pinch
             fingers when re-racking.

Hard to complain much given the price.  Assembly was straightforward and functionally it seems very stable.  If you are storing bars that are on the heavy side it is a little difficult to grab them by the center because there is not a lot of clearance between the bar and the frame.  My biggest complaint is the unit is treated with some sort of substance that I am assuming is to prevent rust.  Whatever it is it smelled for a few days after I assembled it.  Either it has dissipated or I have become used to it. 

Even with the annoyances I will likely buy a second unit.

So so

While this rack is well built, it smells terrible. We cannot leave it in the house due to the smell. Have tried everything we can think of to get rid of the smell but after over a week of multiple cleanings with several different products the smell has diminished very little. Basically it is unuseable due to the odor it emits.

Smells awful

Although the rack was easy to put together and seemed like it would have done the job of holding hand weights fine it had a terrible odor of something like gasoline and made the entire room smell. I had to return it because the scent did not go away and was horrible.
