I was shopping for the larger unit since your stores only seem to carry the smaller unit. Once I found I could order directly from the MFG. through your website, it was very easy. It shipped on time and was very easy to assemble. I wish you offered a larger capacity unit. One drawback, to place the dumbbels in each section, a person must be very careful to not pinch their fingers as the spacing is quite limited. Guess I will simply have to buy another unit for the additional weights.

I bought the CAP dumbbell rack because I have a full compliment of Cap dumbbells (5-25lb)  that were just on the floor of my garage that eventually became tiresome to keep stepping over. I searched and saw the rack and was happy to find it was from the same manufacturer so it should be constructed specifically for their dumbbells and it was. The rack is a very solidly constructed piece and it was very easy to put together. I'm very happy with the purchase and the product. Highly recommend.

Great rack at an even better price

After reading all the reviews, I was reluctant to purchase due to the smell associated with the rubber that protects the dumbbells.

Well, I did buy, and I am very happy with this inexpensive way to maintain my hex dumbbells. I have 10, 15,20,25, and 30 lbs and they fit great. Easy to assemble. Wish the company included an extra nut, etc, just incase or a shortage, but I had no spares, but it was complete.

Only issue if I was designing the set; I would have made it about one or two inches wider so that it was easier for you to pick up the wts. I have small hands and mine can barely reach between the bars to pick up the wts. I usually only use 3 fingers due to the restricted space.

If you have bigger wts, say: 40 and above, you may find they may not fit on this small rack.

But, for the smaller wts, this set is great.

Now the smell.....some are very sensitive to smells, like my father. He hates when I wear cologne, so if you are very sensitive to smells, well....you can smell the rubber, but for my sensitivity, it was not a real issue for me.

Great space saver

the stand was easy to put together, just has a VERY strong rubber odor.  I have seen this same comment before in other reviews. Maybe the designer can heed this feedback and modify it so that alternative components can be used. Otherwise, it certainly does the job it's meant to!

Very strong rubber smell-PEW!!

Pros:  Easy to install
            Sturdy
            Looks like the picture

Cons:  Has 5 pair of dumbbell holders.  However, if you have dumbbells that have 
             plates (larger dumbbells) the rack will only hold 3 pair.

             To lift off the dumbbell from the rack, I can only get three of my fingers (not my
             hole hand) on the dumbbell, in between the side rails.  Be careful not to pinch
             fingers when re-racking.

Dumbbell Rack

Hard to complain much given the price.  Assembly was straightforward and functionally it seems very stable.  If you are storing bars that are on the heavy side it is a little difficult to grab them by the center because there is not a lot of clearance between the bar and the frame.  My biggest complaint is the unit is treated with some sort of substance that I am assuming is to prevent rust.  Whatever it is it smelled for a few days after I assembled it.  Either it has dissipated or I have become used to it. 

Even with the annoyances I will likely buy a second unit.

I love this rack. It fits well in the space and is very sturdy. I gave it 3 stars because it was challenging to assemble, and it smells horrible. Even after a month of having it, it's intolerable the chemical/plastic smell to it.

Sturdy Rack

While this rack is well built, it smells terrible. We cannot leave it in the house due to the smell. Have tried everything we can think of to get rid of the smell but after over a week of multiple cleanings with several different products the smell has diminished very little. Basically it is unuseable due to the odor it emits.

Smells awful

This rack smells like diesel or petroleum and I have tried vinegar, lemon juice, household spray cleaner, baking soda paste and nothing takes the horrible smell away. It cannot come in the house as it is too noxious of a smell. 
The actual rack is quite fine although it's never been filled with weights as it smells too bad to bring it into our gym. I cannot recommend it. Even the box stinks.

Horrible Smell - Can't bring it in the house

Although the rack was easy to put together and seemed like it would have done the job of holding hand weights fine it had a terrible odor of something like gasoline and made the entire room smell. I had to return it because the scent did not go away and was horrible.
