My car is weird anything I put on my AC vents will fall off. Anything I put on my dashboard will fall off. And if I put something on the window, it's just distracting and gets in the way. It's like a blind spot it's being covered.  I put this in my CD player which I never use and it's working just fine for me. It's in the perfect spot I drive Lyft partime and I love this.

I saw this in my local store and was excited to try the CD option because I have used other mounts and to my disappoint they don't work or break. I origanlly had a suction mount (I have an iphone XR) and it finally died and I couldn't find anything like that, now there's the 3M tape and I do not want that on my car.  I do not like a vent, window or tape mounting options.  I cannot understand some negative reviews because this is a perfect solution for me and it WORKS.  It is too easy to install, screws already attached, all you have to do is insert and tighten screws.  I have purchased another for my teenage son's Honda accord (he doesn't have CDs) and I told my best friend as well because she needed one as well.

It is sturdy, easy install

I bought this to hold my Google Pixel 4XL phone (with a protective case). It couldn't have been easier to install. Insert the base into your CD slot and tighten the wingnut on the bottom by hand. It held my phone perfectly and kept it out of my windshield's field of view (a big safety plus in my opinion). 
I have used it for a year and it finally broke. The thinnest part of the neck stem snapped in two while I was putting the phone in the holder. To be fair, I never bothered to open the quick release that expands the holder. Instead, I sized it so that I could push it in and pull it out without doing that. No doubt this added to the stress on the stem. Despite this, I am ordering another one. Since I now know what the weakest point is, I'll probably wrap tape around the stem to make it stronger for my type of usage.
BTW, somebody already mentioned that the fold down base the phone's bottom edge rests on is solid and won't allow a charging cord to be used while the phone is in the cradle. This is true, but I got around that by cutting out the center of the fold down piece. It still folds down like before but now the phone is held by two end tabs and the center is open allowing for charging. It was such an easy fix which makes me wonder why the manufacturer doesn't make it this way to begin with. I have a relatively large phone and it held it with no problem even cut like that.

this is perfect and works souch better than the ones that suction to the windshield or dashboard! my stereo doesnt work so it works great putting it in the cd slot!

Very good phone holder and keeps phone in convenient location for using GPS to drive to a location.  I have probably bought at least a half dozen car phone holders and been very unhappy with them. This is the best one I have bought.

Good product

Was looking for a phone mount and came across this CD mount.  Since I no longer use my CD slot this worked out perfectly, it fits in real snuggly and secured my phone really well. It's also positioned in a great spot now in my car.

Sturdy and good grip

The is okay but its annoying 

1.) When you eject you have to keep pushing button to expand 

2.) When you goto insert the phone in the phone stand if not properly attached your device can fall

I found that the locking mechanism is slow, need to click and wait few seconds in order to free the phone. Also, my phone didn't fit with the case.

Plastic arm from the CD insert plate to the ball attached to the phone holder base is not durable enough and continually breaks; hopefully R %26 D will fix this problem.

Works great until it doesn't - but I do recommend.

The material is poorly made. It doesn't hold on place. Fits awkward in my car. Doesn't secure my phone well at all.

Save your money!
