With the Royal Oak Chef Select 40lb bags (or smaller even) seemingly gone forever, these are rhe bsst thing going for briquettes. Natural, great aroma, long burning, just thd total package AND resonsbly priced, and goes on sale.
What else is there? Buy and stock it deep.

It was my first time using this and I do like it a lot I will be buying this more often especially when they have sales on this. I did have to use some lighter fluid to start it until I get something else to light it but it had an amazing taste, flavor and smell. Burn time is pretty solid too.

Really good quality charcoal briquettes.

Avg time to light the briquets. Uniform in shape, and there is some dust in the bag, maybe due to handling and stacking at store. Heated up pretty quickly and lasted longer then Kingsford charcoal. Overall was a good choice, may try  Lump charcoal after finishing these bags.

Switched over to B%26B charcoal

B%26B truck competition for kids are the best charcoal out there burns better than Kingsford and last longer than Kingford highly recommend this for all your barbecue needs

I have grilled and smoked with the briquettes and no complaints.  The flavor wasn't overpowering on pork ribs on the smoker and added some nice flavor to grilled chicken.  At ~$10 it was very comparable to some more expensive options I've tried.

Better than expected

I would like for this product to be in larger size. Overall, so far, I think it's a good deal.

I'm looking forward to ordering more in near future.

Only one (1) issue, I would like for the flavor to be as I order.
Example: if I order oak briquettes, I don't mean oak %26 hickory.

I found these B%26B Charcoal Competition Oak Charcoal Briquets to be a reliable choice for grilling, and they were easy to get lit and ready for a quick weeknight dinner. The initial starting up process was straightforward, though it took a little longer than some chemical-laden brands, the consistent heat was perfect for all my cooking needs, from quick sears to longer smokes.

Easy Lighting and Consistent Performance

I loved smoking with these. I am usually a Kingsford kind a gal but I was impressed. The briquettes are larger and burns for a while. I used part of half the grill for them and from 7 am - round  5 I didn't have to add more. I did eventually ...I'm sold.

I've been a Kingsford briquette fan for 70  years. I prefer the charcoal flavor with a touch of wood smoke. What impresses me with this charcoal is the uniform spread of heat along with a full blanket of flame across the bed of coals. Searing becomes a simple exercise, and cooking is streamlined. My Gas2Coal grille hits 550°-600°F which is the temperature the $$$$ steakhouse restaurants use.

These briquets are larger than most other brands, and they are a  bargain at their currently listed price. But they don't last nearly as long as one might hope, and produce only the faintest of smoke flavor. On the plus side, they can be added unlit to an active smoking fire without producing soot, which virtually every other briquet does.

I was hoping that a lighti ng chimney full of these would last at least two hours, but with the vents and smkoestack on my barrel pit both nearly closed, the fire was just about spent after sixty minutes.

They ae no better than other brands, but they offer good bang for the buck. If you are wenting a low and slow smoking fire you'll need to continually add some wood splits or chunks to these. They burn very fast.

Inexpensive, but nothing special

I do like the size of these and they do put out some heat BUT the biggest issue I have with it is when you go to move the coals when they are ready. They crumble to pieces and immediately lose their heat. As soon as you touch them they turn into a pile of ash.
