Truck mirror

Great product, but could not solve the vibration issue. Everything in the mirror was shaking.

Will these fit on a 3rd generation tacoma?

How will it fit?

I bought this mirror to replace a broken one on my 1992 Dodge pickup, as it is the same size, overall style, etc. It mounted to the bracket already on the truck easily as I had suspected, and although the point where the mirror attaches to the mounting arm is different it still makes the truck look symmetrical. My only complaint with the product is the fact that it is made of plastic that would crack easily if subjected to much abuse. If the mirror backing was made of metal, it would be an easy 5 stars. Overall I would recommend this if you just have an old vehicle with this style of mirror and you need a cheap replacement and aren't too worried about the fine details.

Cheap, functional, not for show

Very shiny.  It isn't as good as the mirror it replaced (1974 model).

Good replacement.

I don't like that the swing arm of the mirror is not serrated so the mirror will not move in the wind when going down the road.    It is hard to adjust the mirror so I can swing it back and forth, yet maintain the adjustment while I'm moving down the road.   Mirrors have a tendency to want to swing in while I'm driving.   If I tighten them up enough then I can't swing them back and forth for getting into my garage.

Mirrors

Bracket is very tinny but adequate. Mirror back is plastic and mounting hole is hollow. Not possible to fully tighten the mirror head to the elbow without cracking the mirror mounting boss. In desperation, I filled the hole with JB Weld and redrilled it in order to create something substantial to bolt against. I'll replace the heads with metal ones when these surely will break from vibration. The through the fender plastic grommets are minimal. I pulled off the inner panel and put a nut/bolt/washer setup. If I had the time I'd build the brackets out of flattened EMT tubing and buy metal mirror heads from the big rig truck supply stores.
