How do I use CLR Brands Garbage Disposal cleaners? Start with an empty sink and disposal. DO NOT TURN ON DISPOSAL. Run hot tap water full force for 1-2minutes directly into garbage disposal. Reduce tap water to a pencil width stream away from the drain�off to the side of the sink, not directly into the drain. With disposal off, and water still at a stream INSERT ONE UNOPENED pod completely into disposal. Turn on garbage disposal. White cleaning foam should rise into the sink or both sides if using in a double sink. Run disposal until foam retreats from sink into disposal (1-2 minutes). Turn off disposal and tap water. I had noticed an odor coming from my drain for a very long time (10 yrs) and I had been told by neighbors to put bleach down my drain/disposal, which I did but the terrible odor would never go away.  My Mom told me about these and I am SO glad I tried them out.  My disposal had never been cleaned in this manner so I ended up using 3 different tablets until the terrible odor lessened.  There was even some slimy grime that came up.  I did follow up with some baking soda and vinegar and a few drops of lemon essential oil.  My drain smells so much better now!   The product is easy to use but make sure to read all the instructions before starting out.  I misread the instructions and ended up wasting a tablet.

These freshen up the garbage disposal and seem to clean it well. I've tried a bunch of cleaners and so far these are my favorite (over the small round ones that you throw down). These actually foam up and provide a more thorough clean over the ones that just release a lemon scent.

Didn't expect much after reading the reviews, but it was all my local Walmart carried.   I've been using various disposal cleaners for 20  years, so I know what they are supposed to do.  
Surprise! of surprises.  The CLR Disposal Cleaners worked better than any brand I've ever tried and left the disposal smelling really clean, which no other brand has ever done.  
Follow the simple directions Exactly and you'll be pleased.

Works and leave a great smell when done

I looked inside my garbage disposal.  I was shocked at what I saw.  I have used this cleaner twice.  It even cleans the rubber protector on the garbage disposal.

Amazing product!

I'm always forgetting to clean my garbage disposal...until an odor creeps into my kitchen from the drain. I love using CLR garbage disposal cleaner pods because I know they're effective. They foam up and clear out all the gunk and buildup, leaving the sink smelling fresh. I'd HIGHLY RECOMMEND using CLR over other options. I trust CLR to truly clean, while other brands just cover the odor.

first time user.  i would purchase again.  cleans disposal well.  if you're expecting a scent, as i was, there isnt one.  still does the cleaning job

This garbage disposal cleaner was easy to use, controlled disposal odor, and seemed to clean well. Once every 10-14 days does the trick.

Foamed up well

Disappointed. Zero farming action and no noticeable difference (I.e. The garbage disposal smells the same as it did before I used this product).... Won't buy it again. The best way to clean the disposal is still by using a garbage disposal brush that is made specifically for garbage disposals. You get the biggest bang for your buck with a garbage disposal brush.
