Awesome headlamp

I got this headlamp couple days ago and it is my new favorite headlamp, super comfortable my favorite is the dimmer. I can turn it all the way down all the way up anywhere in the middle. I was using it to work on my car and it brightened up the whole engine bay. The pure beam puts the light right where I need it or if I need the whole engine I just click it over to the flood. It also has a red light and a green light which personally I don’t need but if you do, it’s there and really bright the battery is very impressive. I opened it didn’t need to charge it used it couple hours. Still don’t need to charge it. Highly recommend.

My new go to headlamp

I am loving this headlamp. Has all the brightness that I could ever need and being rechargeable helps. Was looking at a milwaukee just before getting this and glad i held out now. Having the spot and flood feature is awesome as well. I work in a machine shop and dont always need the spot function and can change it over very easily even with gloves on.

This thing is a beast

I got my new headlamp in. It looks good easy to use very lightweight. I like how the functions in the back with the red and green lights flash. A you can dem and brighten them. They are only one problem it’s not as bright as my 1000 lumens flashlight, I thought that it would be brighter but it’s really not that bright. it’s good condition fits good soft easy to use.

Great features

I got this headlamp and brought it to work with me, where I do maintenance at a large brewery. There were some quick things to like about the lamps as soon as it was out of the package. 

First of all, I am a fan of the quality of light it emits. Clear white light, and nice sharp boundaries. The dial on the lamp does really well, though there is a bit of a lag when adjusting it. Working with lots of stainless steel, the ability to really tone down the brightness was super helpful. Often times I get into areas where these large tanks block out the surrounding light but can also be very reflective. 

Red and Green lights were great additions, I especially like the green light feature, as that feels a lot softer on my eyes in the dark. 

The back red light is likely really helpful for runners, but it did cause some problems with me when working on a creeper underneath equipment. It's just bulky enough that as I move my head around, it would catch on the frame and want to pull itself off. That said, it's not very heavy, so If I was using it for the purpose of hiking or running it would be no problems at all. 

The long beam really can throw the light, and the flood with it allows you to really light up wide open areas. I used this while walking home late one night and cast my light out downriver and was pretty happy with the distance I was able to see. 

Battery life has not been an issue at all, and charges back up very quickly. I did see theres an option to add a secondary battery pack, however I feel that would make this awfully bulky, and unnecessary considering the long run time you already get from this.

Excellent source of light that you can control

I'm a field tester for coast and appreciate being sent products to evaluate. That being said the RL27R is a well made product but does not seam as bright as my other 1000 lumen lights. Also the red light on the back doesn't work well for my profession (airboat tour captain) it's distracting to the passengers seated behind me. There are some features I really like the red and green light selections are great for my night vision and the spot and flood main lights work good. Again as usual coast products are very well made and customer service is exceptional.
