Quality

I wanted internal grinder to be made of safe material to avoid plastics. These have ceramic and stainless internal grinders so you want have forever plastic in your salt and pepper from plastic grinders used in most other brands

I really like them--seem to be of good quality, good heft, size is perfect--not too big, not too small, not so tall that they're always falling over. They provide everything from a coarse grind down to a very fine grind. Operation is smooth, especially compared to the prepackaged plastic salt and pepper grinders.

High quality!

I'm not sure why it's so difficult to find good salt mills, but whenever we try a different brand, we're not happy with the way the salt is ground - often it doesn't come out at all. We've found Cole and Mason to be the best, consistent brand out there.

Great salt and pepper mills

We purchased a set of Cole & Mason grinders. One of them broke and the wood was chipped within 3 months. Cole & Mason issued a credit. We found these as replacements. They are glass we prefer glass to plastic or metal so we were pleased. The fact that these grind from the top and have covers are ingenious!  No mess on the counter.

Great design!  These leave no deposits on any surface. Strong grinders, stable, good size, and feel good in one's hand. Surpassed my expectations-- they came with salt and pepper as shown in the photo.   I am a fan!! 

I will donate my current Cole & Mason set they still are very good, but I disliked the mess.

I will buy again as gifts!

My husband has asked for a large pepper mill for Christmas so I ordered this one based on looks and reviews. I am not disappointed and I hope he isnÃ¢â‚¬â„¢t. HavenÃ¢â‚¬â„¢t used it yet obviously but I am sure it will do itÃ¢â‚¬â„¢s job very well

Had used the powered mills, but was disappointed in the rate of battery consumption.  These are great mills - the grinds as shipped are much finer than I could get with the electronic.

Great Mills

Love that they are glass and have a heft to them and that I can see the contents to tell when a refill is needed. They also grind beautifully. Just wishing the design did not require we remove the lid first. That's the only down side.

Satisfying heft

I really like these new mills.  The salt has a ceramic grinder so there is no corrosion.  Both have glass bases so the salt and pepper don't sit in plastic.  The adjustment for grain size is easy to adjust.  The lid on top is just what I wanted!  The mills don't leave a mess on the table because the salt and pepper comes out the top, just turn it over!  So nice!
