I like it because it is coated.  the birds don't eat it, and the seeds sprout nicely.  the color is very bright green

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Works great. Had to wait 2 weeks, because hubby was determined he would do the seeding. Did not take long to actually place in the needed spots. We had rain off and on, and where the ground was level it filled in nicely. I think some of the spots that were on the hill were washed down, and filled in the areas below them. lol. Still grew some lovely grass. It is very true that you need to plan on at least 4 weeks for it to fill in the areas, but it does with lovely green.

Would buy Penninton grass seeds again

My husband threw down some fertilizer and the grass seed and it sprouted up really quickly. It has lasted and has not died off! Looks great. Full and great for the kids to play in. My yard looks so much better. I am very happy with this.

Grows Quick & LASTS!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Hear me out. You have no knowledge of grass, when yo grow it, where to put it, how to spread it, if you need to water it etc. Well...that's me. I'm new to home ownership and I had quite a bit of bald patches around my yard. I followed the instructions on the bag and now I have lush grass that doesn't hurt when we run around barefoot. It took about a solid month before it fully came in, but BOY did it. It's so thick and beautiful. Now I feel like I need to take up all my grass just to plant more of this. I live in SE US and primarily have pine needles. I was able to have this growing without any work and through the needles that I ya know. Skipped over raking *that's a whole chore*. I'm so happy with this product and I truly didn't go into it with high hopes.

No problems with the process or the product, though our cat did take it upon himself to tear some holes in the thin bag before we could get it outside. So... just keep out of reach of pesky felines! Nice Seed

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had a great experience with this grass seed, I have some areas were I just couldn't get the grass to grow and if it did it was like an all weeds . So , I gave this a try and sure enough it is doing good so far, the seeds have this coating on it and I think it makes a difference as far as the thickness and quality of the grass once germinated. I would definitely recommend and purchase it

So, I followed the directions on the package. Mother Nature helped to keep the seed watered. It sprouted within a week, but we did have some heavy rains, and lost a good bit of seed. If you plant this, I would recommend a straw cover to help keep intact.

I planted in spring after spreading topsoil over bare spots. The seed germinated and the grass came in good. Everything looked good through the end of June here in SE Michigan. By the end of July the grass drying out and thinning. I would not recommend this product as a long term solution. I would like my money back.x
