This four person dome tent features Core H20 Block Technology- water repellant fabric with active bead technology for faster water runoff paired with sealed seams and rain-resistant door/window seals. The fully-taped rain fly is removable in warmer weather to expose panoramic mesh windows and ceiling. The advanced venting system uses the adjustable air intake vent designed to draw in cool air from the ground while the mesh ceiling allows hot air to escape keeping you comfortable all season. The CORE 4 Person Dome Tent 9 x 7 also features zippered privacy panels on doors and windows and keeps your gear organized with the included gear loft with lantern hook and organizer pockets.

Used once in sandy soil. Worked as expected. I was quite impressed with the "fit and finish." The seams are straight- and when erected the tent is tight "like a drum." Shed water as hoped-for' easy to erect and stow. Features like gear loft and stitched-in storage bags are thoughtfully placed. The air intake is a great feature, the door has thoughtful zippering, that allows people, not rain to enter. The fly is well-engineered (shed rain, allows for airflow) We are very happy with the tent. We are a couple and bought the 4-person. There is more space than we need, but the whole package is so light, There is no penalty for the extra space. Also, the price is appealing.

I love this tent! It's high-quality, easy to assemble and is comfortable. I'm an avid backpacker and also do alot of car camping with my spouse. We love nature! And this tent fits the bill. Very happy with it!

First of all the customer service and shipping have been well above expectation. 
 
The tent is the perfect size for our family. My 6 year old twins and I tested it in the backyard the day we received it. Set up was very intuitive and only took a few minutes, even with the twins helping. The open mesh design provided great air flow, not the stuffiness I am used to with our other tent that has windows that can be closed. The pockets, small items hammock and the lantern hook all came in handy. 
 
The tent got it's first taste of rain and did very well, no leaks at all. 
 
The only issue I have and the reason for the 4 star review is the zipper and the rain flaps that protect the zipper. The fabric used for the flaps is too thin and easily gets caught up in the zipper. Once we were aware of why this was happening we were able to prevent the flaps from getting stuck in the zipper by simply being a bit more careful when opening and closing the door. 
 
I am very glad I found this company and I am very happy with my purchase. I would recommend this product to anyone looking for a starter tent or for an occasional use tent.

Core 4 Person Dome Tent - Great for family of 4

This is a very nice tent although I don't think four adults could sleep in it maybe three without equipment, with equipment maybe two. It's easy to erect with two people it took us about 15 minutes. The stakes are straight slim stainless steel with no barbs, which should be modified for more holding power. The entry zipper sometimes get caught on the overlapping fabric so you have to be careful when opening and closing. Also the threshold could be a tripping hazard it's to high so care must be taken when entering and exiting. It's made of quality fabric and the construction is sound it just needs some minor adjustments. If I had to I would buy this tent again for the money it's a good bargain.

4 Person Dome Tent 9' x 7'

The rain fly does not go down far enough over the sides of the tent body. It's only a couple inches below the mesh of the tent body. As a result, a strong wind can push dirt or rain up under the rain fly and through the mesh. I took this tent out camping and initially liked it. But we had a very windy day and came back from a hike to find everything inside the tent covered with dirt. It was awful. And that night while trying to sleep, I kept getting sand blow into my ears. I can imagine that in a rain storm, the dirt would instead be water. The design should have the fly coming down to within a few inches of the ground.

A second flaw: The rain fly does not fully cover the front door. Yes, the flaps that cover the zipper do keep water out of the zipper. But if you open the door while there's rain, the water runs down the front of the fly and into the tent. The only solution is to pitch a tarp over the entire front half of the tent.

Finally, on the back side of the tent near the ground is a ventilation opening. It has a flap that covers the mesh opening, but no way at all to secure the flap closed. It can be staked out to keep it open, but there is no provision for keeping it closed. So wind just blows up under it, letting in dirt and misty rain. That flap should have a zipper or something to keep it tightly closed when ventilation is not needed. 

I do not recommend this tent of any of the others with a similar rain fly design.

Does not protect against dirt or rain in high wind

Looks attractive, but had leaks (puddles) pouring in from all 4 corners of this brand new tent. Unfortunately, I think this is due to a poorly designed rain fly that inadequately covers the four feet of the tent. Also I found the ventilation in general, to be inadequate. I wanted to like this tent, but it's by far the worst tent I have ever owned.
