I this time used cabot feo tier color  and the deck looks like new! I am so pleased. I am going to touch up a few spots  but very happy!

Semi transparent for deck and siding

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have used Cabot products exclusively on my Decks and exterior home finishing.  The stain I used for my house is 8 years old and looks like it was just painted.  I used "Bark" colored stain.  I could not be happier.  I have used the semi-transparent stain and sealer on my decks - 4 of them.  The weather here is wet and cold most of the year.  These stains have held up for the past 3 years * stained for 8 years total) and will be refinished this year using Australian oil sealer.  I used it to seal a small, well trafficed bridge.  It looks good, dries hard and I expect it to last several years.

Tough, protective and looks great

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Tired of doing my decks every other year with Bear, I decided to go with Cabot. WOW What an improvement.  Cabot not only went on much easier but has already shown to be much more resilient then the Bear I have used for over 10 yrs. With 6 decks and some 64 steps I wish I would of used Cabot years sooner.  My wife and I even like the finished application of the Cabot then the Bear.

Cabot VS Bear

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had to rebuild my rear yard fences this summer. After 20+ years my old fence boards and rails were rotting away. I used Cabot semi solid stain in dark brown to pre stain all the pieces. I'm hoping I'll get more than 20 years life this time around. The fences all look great and my neighbor says I am a master carpenter for how good my fences look.

Great protection

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have a 17yr old 400sq ft. deck that was stained using a different product 8yrs ago (not Good). Prepped it properly by washing it and sanding it thoroughly including railings & Balusters.
Used the Cabot Semi-Transparent oil based stain & chose Mission Brown for the color. We made sure to mix the gallons together as recommended throughout the project for a more uniform color & the color is Exceptional, used Staining pads for the entire job. Coverage of the stain was Excellent !!! and application was easy, this stains also helps to prevent lap marks when applied properly. Took 3 people only 5hrs to stain the entire deck & railings. Deck dried for about 8 hrs. when an unexpected rain came overnight & in the morning the water was puddled on the deck and there was no water displacement of the stain. I would highly recommend this product to anyone.

Great Stain product !!!

Our goal was to maximize the wood grain, so we chose the semi-transparent Barn Red color. Excellent product, we initially applied two coats and 6 years later we applied another coat. 11 years later and the product has held up veery well, no peeling or cracking.
