I am getting slightly greater distance with the Mavrik driver.  It was in the condition as represented.  The cover looked brand new.  

I am having some trouble controlling my fade, but I recognize that is not the fault of the club, which I am satisfied with.

I'm 74 years old. 10.5 index and play mostly from the senior tees. Our club pro fit my new driver and 1st time out a few days ago shot 77 (w/3 3 putts). 9.0 loft and sr flex. Ball flight was lower more piercing and didn't miss a single fairway. Distance was 10-20 yards longer on each solid hit. Carry was a bit longer but runout was significant. Have now played 3 times with similar results. Love this club!

Great new driver

I have never written a review of a golf club before, but this club is so amazing, I just had to do it. Got professionally fitted, tried all three heads and a variety of shafts, ended up with the 10.5° standard Mavrik and the standard Project X 50g shaft, adjusted to 11.5° and Draw setting. My old driver was a Ping G30, four or five years old, and I always liked it, but this new Mavrik is unbelievable! I'm hitting it 20 to 35 yards longer and with the same or better accuracy. It's a total game changer - getting on some par 5s in two and hitting wedges and nine-irons on par 4s instead of 6 and 7 irons. I don't know how Callaway did it but this is an absolutely incredible golf club – I never dreamed I would ever hit drives as long as I do with this beast!

Incredible!

I've never even held one of these in my hands but I played with a guy who has one. Sure, he was a 22 handicap and sprayed it all over the course but all of the reviews I'm reading say it's way longer and sounds cool when you hit it right so why wouldn't you buy this club. Basically, I can afford any clubs I want but never drop the big bucks on the latest thing so I look forward to buying one of these on eBay in about 15 months, probably new-in-box for $150! Thank you Callaway Golf, in all sincerity, for always bringing your a-game to the dance. I have countless fond memories of my first original Big Bertha, which I bought around the time you launched the ERC II. Let me know if you want to send me one of these Maverick bad boys and I'll be happy to offer honest feedback from a single digit cheapskate!

Because I said so!

As a beginner golfer I needed all the help I could get! Somehow the universe lined up and I was fitted with a Maverik 
 Long story short, I can now out drive the men that I play with! At 61 years old, they think I'm a golf prodigy! Little bit do they know it's really the club !!! Thank you thank you thank you !!!

Begginer golfer strikes gold

Golfers, you have got to try this beauty I am 88 years old and I hit it over 200 yards, much better than my previous driver. I played A course in South Georgia and was put on the senior tees and after four holes another golfer approached me and asked for verification of my age. Several of my golfing partners here have already bought one for themselves after trying mine. I love this thing the sound and feel of the ball coming off the club face is A wonderful feel and sound. Go get yours, You will thank me,

This club has the best feel and sound and forgiveness that you would ever want.

Where do I start, The Epic Flas was a great club and a good Spin Killer in the Sub Zero with the Hzrdus Smoke. The Maverick with all the shafts tried doesn't really behave that way. The Sub-Zero in the Rogue shaft is okay but it's a downgrade on last years club. Looks wise its very vanilla and average and I really must say it's a gift and I feel rude... but bring on next years club.

The Most Forget-able Driver

Yesterday I used Mavrik with a 9 degree loft on a regular shaft of Even Flow 50g at Rancho Park GC. I could drive between 200-230 yards and it is longer than usual by 20-30 yards. My game became way different one with a longer driving distance. I swear it is the best driver I've ever used.

I could gain driving distance by 20-30 yards.

This feel the need, the need for speed driver had me flying drives my body COULD cash compared to my nearly autopilot no need for some of that pilot sssstuff Epic Flash driver. With about half large bucket of not so large range balls I was able to fly the cue and hit the target, not just earth but the kill zone. 

The sound is perfect and you know when you've landed a good one. This so far using a legal measurement tool for non-tourney play, goes about 5-15 yards farther than the Flash. The LZ is just as narrow if not smaller dispersion wise. Off center takeoff still result in Target scores on shorter grass. 

We're not talking 3 digit supersonic swing speeds, usually mid to upper 90s from an almost 59 year veteran aviator...wait, make that a V-8er (you pick, engine or the red juice, I like both). I'm throttling the stiff Riptide 50g shaft as that flew best for me in the simulator. 

Suggest buckling in and trying the new Cyclone head that gives you a little more swing speed at the target rich environment with less maneuvering drag. Why? Mavrik the talking club head told me, “It's because I was inverted.” 

Suggest buckling one on and going to what used to be your danger zone, no more bogeys left, fly right or straight, you navigate. Pick the right time to buzz your runway tower (or clubhouse) at a demo day, sporting goods store within your bingo fuel range. You're likely to start taking your wingman driver to bed for fear of losing her forever (wife jealous here). Tee up and let the smooth speedy hash mark launch Mavrik into the NO danger zone wild blue yonder.

No actual pilots were harmed during review of this club but some golf balls have certainly lost that lovin' feelin' after getting flamed out.

Goodness Gracious, Great Balls a Far!

Never leave reviews but this driver is incredible. First thing that stands out is forgiveness. You know that swing where know before u see the ball it's going to slice into the woods? I know this well...but with this driver instead of being OB, I'm 10 yards off the fairway. Feel is fantastic, distance is solid and sound it great. I'm generally a mid-high 80s player. Good irons and short game but my driver gets me into trouble...first 2 rounds with this driver-78 and 79 (Prior to that, I've broken 80 3 times in 25 years) all due to actually keeping my drives in play. If you are on the fence I highly recommend pulling the trigger
