[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Finally a coffee maker that matches my black stainless appliances! I'm not a big coffee drinker but to be able to control the level of strength is great. This coffee maker is very user friendly. The delayed programming feature is amazing and the non stick hot plate was great for cleanup and the prevention of scorched coffee. I would definitely recommend this coffee maker for anyone who doesn't want the elaborate makers.

This coffee maker is very easy to set up and use.  The coffee stays very hot, even after pouring!

Best coffee maker

The brewer itself makes a good cup of coffee. I find the carafe design a problem. The recessed bottom makes it difficult to completely empty it without the lid flipping open. Also difficult to clean.

Good coffee maker for the price

This has great reviews on Consumers Reports, so I ordered.  What I did not realize was the overall size of the unit.  Be sure to measure the height and depth of the overall unit before you decide to purchase.  I personally figured the reviews were great, but did not want to keep such a large unit overall so returned.

Lip of carafe is badly designed for pouring water into the coffee maker. You cannot pour water from the carafe into the coffee maker without water spilling out of the sides unless you pour very, very slowly and carefully.  Real mess every time.  Aside from that makes good coffee.

My earlier review stated the  product did not brew. a full cup. This was wrong.  For some reason, the machine holds back a 1/4 cup. If you shut it off, don't add water and turn it on the water comes out. Weird. I now know not to shut if off and turn it on until I am ready to brew more coffee. The water temperature does not reach the ideal 195 degrees and only gets up to 185. It would be nice if  it turned off automatically before 4 hrs. Most turn off after an hour. Who would drink four hour coffee that has been sitting on a burner?

My Prior Review was wrong, Not as bad as thought,

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I find the look of the coffee maker to be very appealing and it fits in very nicely with my style. The buttons have a good feel when you press them responding with an audible beep. The overall quality of the coffee maker is good but filter basket could be better.  The coffee itself is delicious, even an hour later because of the hot plate. I have not noticed a burnt taste from the coffee sitting too long. I do enjoy being able to brew from a timer so I'll have coffee waiting for me as I rush to get ready in the morning. However, I do have a few gripes with the machine. It's mostly in the carafe where I have an actual problem. The lid feels a little cheap and has a lip on it that keeps water/coffee from being fully poured out of it. The term “special brew” is a little misleading to me. I was expecting more from it than just a “strong” button especially with the price tag it has.

Good machine but nothing special

Have had this coffee maker for about 4 months after reading solid reviews on Consumer Reports. The quality of the brew is excellent. The brewer itself is not so good. The burner is too hot and burns the coffee within minutes. We have had to transfer coffee almost immediately to a carafe. The ground tray spring attachment broke. Replacement is not available. It clogs easily, and is nigh impossible to clean. Right now, it looks like it is headed to the recycling bin. Overall disappointed
